Looks like a good product. Light gets thru and rain. So far keeps bugs and rabbits out. We'll see how long it holds up.

My agfabric arrived quickly, in good condition, and will be perfect for putting over my brussel sprout plants to protect them from cabbage moths.

This insect netting is a garden saver for sure! I used it to cover cabbages during the springtime and squash plants during the summer. I found it very effective as long as you have all the edges tacked down to the ground. With squash I did have to take off when they got huge so they could be pollinated and at that point resorted to hand picking bugs, squishing eggs and using low intensity insecticides to deal with squash bugs. I set this up on my cabbages from the start. They were all beautiful...no worms or eaten leaves although the moths certainly were fluttering over the mesh waiting for an opportunity to get them. Water easily penetrates the mesh plus you can use hoops of really any sort to hold the mesh up. The mesh is very durable in that it takes a heck of a force to rip or snag this insect netting. It stays put during windy days as it has more heft than some of the other ultra-fine meshes out there. My only complaint would be for width. I know that it is 10 ft wide so hoops can be utilized but since I am using on pretty big vegetables, hoops do not have to be used, and I wish it came in a 6 ft wide X 25 ft long size. It would fit my raised beds perfectly.

This product is perfect to protect from the BRIGHT October sun and keep away the moths and butterflies that lay eggs that make chewing worms! Use some #9 galvanized wire to make hoop of the size you need. Got that wire at HD cheap for about $26 online for 171 ft roll. This fabric will LAST and will not ravel unless you cut it. Fits my 12 ft beds perfectly with 6x15 ft roll. I use old bamboo poles to wedge in to pin to soil plus some bricks at end. Can water and fertilize through the fabric. Am guessing it may be about a 10% shade which is nothing in this bright fall weather and helpful. I suspect the fabric will last longer than I will and is far better than Remay the light stuff. Now, on that note it is likely very little protection from frost either, but if you have the hoops in place you can put a tarp down on those cold nights...if your hoops big enough by that point. Not a bad price really for a lifetime investment! Highly recommend!

- I had had a bad apple maggot problem on my Honey Crisp tree ever since we moved to the Seattle area eight years ago and always used the "footies" to put over the individual apples. This was very time consuming and not always effective.- After seeing the use of netting on fruit trees in the Calif. orchards, I did some research and found Agfabric on Amazon. I ordered the biggest piece I could, 20 ft x 50 feet and I paid $78 for it. Then, I cut it up and sewed it together so I had a square that approximated 30 x 30. It sewed very easily on my old Elna. Note: I actually had WAY too much fabric for my 7' tree and wound up cutting it off by about 3 feet at the bottom. The netting fabric is clear, very strong and made from polyester and the holes are very small (.03" x .03"). So, sunlight can get through but insects can't.- In early spring this year (after all the flower petals fell from my apple tree) I put the netting on the tree in the hopes that it would prevent the apple maggot fly from laying her eggs on the emerging apples. I put wooden stakes around the tree to keep the netting off the branches and cinched the netting under the canopy, using bungee cords to prevent the flies from getting in. I really didn't need to access the apples under the netting all season and only one fell into the netting during that time, along with the small ones that naturally happen. I checked the tree periodically to see if any insects were flying around or evidence of critters (i.e. rats) who tried to munch through the netting (there never were).- I am happy to report that I just picked my Honeycrisp apples (in early Sept.) and I had a 99% success rate! I gathered almost two bushels of apples from my small tree. No evidence of apple maggots or dimpling at all! I'm attaching a couple of pictures to show you. The apples are extremely crisp and beautiful!- The good news is that the netting came through the season very well and after shaking it out, I was able to fold it up and will store it for next year. It should last many years to come.

Thank you Agfabric!! Growing a small veggie garden this year & needed to add an insect screen. So far this one has been working out well, but well turned into “amazing”! We had a huge storm hit fast a few days ago & the only plants that were protected were the ones under this insect screen. We watched as the rain turned into hail that was huge & just destroying trees, plants & most of our yard, but could not believe it when I walked over to my veggie garden to see no damage at all to any plants. The hail that was near golf ball size, which had broken out windows in homes & cars, bounced off this fabric covering my little garden. Not one hole or tear. There were tiny areas that stretched the fabric which were against some supports under the fabric that the force of the hail caused, but still it did not tear. WOW! Was so happy to still have my veggies. All the plants were huge & healthy & would have been shredded if that hail had broken through the fabric. So I am impressed plus, it also does what we hoped it would do & is keeping out the bugs. See photo showing size of hail!!
