These are cute envelopes, they seem nicely made, BUT, the paper they are made from is awful for calligraphy used, it causes the pen (dip pen) to chatter and jump across the paper, it also slurps up ink like a drunken sailor, you might get 2 or 3 letters out before you have to re-dip. Also the size of the envelopes is a little off for normal cards, this wasn't an issue for me since I could resize what I needed to go in them to fit, but this could be an issue for others.I do not recommend if you are using traditional calligraphy on them.

Not exactly what I thought I was getting. Doesn't feel really like parchment, but will work.

These were a Christmas present to go with the parchment stationery. My granddaughter loves them and they are beautiful.

First, there were only eight envelopes, not ten as listed in the full description. Had I read the description before buying, I never would have gotten them. They are thin and feel cheap.
