I bought some jumbo pencils and needed a sharpener that could sharpen them. This one works so well. It is rechargeable - supposed to do many sharpenings before needing to be recharged - but I find if it sits, it need to be recharged often - thus one less star. Doesn't really keep a charge. Other than that - pencil goes in, auto sharpens (two points to choose from to set) and auto moves back out. Easy to dump out. Easy to use. Needs to hold a charge better between uses. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. Very good sharpener and the kids love it! It looks great in my classroom, and it is very easy for the kids to use. It was very affordable for the quality of it. I also like that the blade is not exposed, so the student in charge of cleaning it out cannot be cut.

This company has outstanding customer service! I emailed them on a weekend and they replied within an hour. They went above and beyond to help me fix the item. This is important to me because I would rather fix things than have them in the landfill. When I couldn’t fix it, they promptly sent a replacement.I love this sharpener! I use colored pencils a lot and it’s easy and fun to use. I just had shoulder surgery and I especially appreciate being able to use one hand to sharpen my pencils. It has three settings. I like the blunt setting the best and I can see how the other settings would be useful for other applications. I use it a lot and have never had to charge it.

I’m very happy with this sharpener, money well spent. It seems pretty durable. It also sharpens quickly and perfectly every time. It is able to sharpen the larger Ticonderoga pencils as well as the regular sized ones and the top load automatic stop and eject feature is a nice touch. I think this might make the shopping list for teacher appreciation week. I haven’t had to recharge the battery yet but I have sharpened every pencil and color pencil in my house, at least 60/70, and it’s still going strong.

PROS- easy to clean up shavings (no spill, no constant clean up)- nice and sturdy, doesn't feel light or cheap- sharpens well on all three settings- easy to use (once you get the hang of the pressure you need to apply)- charging is easy and uses USB and it has held its charge for a few weeks now- the top down sharpening makes it easy to do with one handCONS:- its hard to tell which sharpness level it is at by looking at the dial- take a few times for the kids to know how much pressure to use to get it to pull the pencil in but once they get it they're off the the races- it looks like a toy, and has been super fun for the the kids. So much so that they were sharpening everything they could find. We might go through pencils more frequently now but at least they'll always be sharp.- you have to charge it (but not too frequently apparently - has been 2 weeks and we've not needed to recharge yet).You can see the three sharpness levels on some real pencils in the photo. I just got this and love it already! Saves so much time and energy! Really easy clean up and doesn’t leave as much of a mess! Works on even the triangle shaped pencils for toddlers!

Best sharpener I've come across! Love using it in my classroom or at home. All the teacher aides love it too and want their own (which some have already bought). Sharpens amazingly well. Great hold of charge. Love love love it!
