Bolts right on in the stock location. This exhaust is a great stock replacement with a little more note. Easy to install as well. A good tip is to put some dish soap on the hangers and the rubber won’t fight you at all. Buy with confidence

It was easy to install. Good tone on the highway with a touch of rumble. Tucks up nice so you don’t drop on the tip when coming off rocks or ledges when off-roading.

This is a Great Exhaust Muffler! When you first start your Jeep you get a beautiful rumble and when you get on it, you get a rich full sound and when your cruising around town, idling, or on the highway you don't get that incessant droning that all those other mufflers seem to thick is a great sound. Personally I call them the little kids exhaust. If you want a serious exhaust with great performance and a great sound then you need this muffler!

I installed this exhaust on my 2008 wrangler. Total install time was probably around an hour, and at least 45 minutes of that was cutting and prying my old, rusty muffler off. It went in easily and has a good quiet tone without sounding obnoxious like so many JK after market exhausts do. It tucks up behind the rear bumper well and weighs substantially less than the factory exhaust. Overall I'm happy with it and hope it lasts. Being stainless steel construction that shouldn't be an issue.

Sound is mellow, just a little louder than stock. Easy installation and can't really see it unless you really look, very high clearance. Great but

I am a very picky when buying upgrades for my Jeep. Being an engineer, I have a habit of researching the heck out of things before I purchase. I was very skeptical with the reviews I found on this exhaust. I had three main areas interest that were important to me. 1.) Hwy Drone…. 2.)Sound quality… 3.)High ground clearance. My jeep is setup with Sound Deading in all the inside doors panels, rear passenger floor, and under the MOPAR Head Liner on the Hard Top roof. I run 5.13’s gears, 3" lift, and 37's on Bead Locks. I can tell you I am impressed with sound of this exhaust. It has a nice sound at start up and no noticeable drone at Hwy Speeds. Daily Driving I think it’s very comparable to the Stock Muffler.I believe it’s everything I wanted.Pros: Quality material, welds, and craftsmanship. There is “no longer” a spot welded metal badging on the exhaust, which is a plus. It fits a nice high and tight, with loads of ground clearance. It’s not much louder than stock exhaust, but there is a nice low tone on start up, but no noticeable drone at hwy speeds. I it will not upset your neighbors as they sleep.Con: Removing the stock muffler sucks. The difficultly include separating exhaust pipe and the exhaust. An hanger on the right side of the jeep jk. This took the most amount of time to accomplish, even with the correct tools. Use WD 40!My only complaint.. I dropped from 15mpg to 13mpg, even with a superchip flashpaq, and K&N drop in filter.

It weighs less and is tucked higher than the original, which is what I wanted. Fitting it was easy on a 2012 JK.No torque given for bolts, I listened to someone who said tighten until the clamp is closed and broke it. I got another clamp at local parts dealer, installed using a little common sense, no more issues.I used RoboGrips to remove hangers, the exhaust removal pliers would have been easier. At idle it's quiet, when you punch it a bit it's louder, not annoying, just different. We'll see how it holds up...Happy after 3 months...Update:5 years later and everything is still good, still happy.Update:9 years have gone by and it rotted out. The replacement is more expensive, $225 more to be exact. I’m going in a different direction, it’s not worth $530…

The install was a snap. I like the mellow sound. The power seems to be the same, we shall see how my gas milage changes. I have the superchip Jeep flash tuner as well as the AFE sealed cold air intake; I waned to complete stage 3 with an exhaust. I really love the way this one fits. It tucks under so well giving me some more clearance not to mention the size and weight difference from stock. I recommend this product. I had a bad experience with the last exhaust (another Brand) I ordered so I called AFE and asked about this one. The staff at AFE were great at answering my questions. AFE will have my business for other vehicles in the future.
