Advanced Microplastics in Water Test Kit
Specialized testing of microplastics in drinking water
Recommended for targeted testing of microplastics in drinking water. Microplastics enter the drinking water supply from an array of pollution and waste pathways–such as from tires rubbing against pavement, synthetic clothes, paint dust and microfibers. The impacts of microplastics on human health and wildlife are not well understood.
What is tested for?
Reported results will include detailed analysis of microplastic concentrations broken down by size category and polymer type–for example polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polystyrene particles. Particles between 1 micron (μm) and 5 mm in size are quantified, and polymer types are identified for particles >10 μm.
