We were constantly complaining to our DSL company about the quality of our signal. We overlooked the fact we were using cobbled together 20-year-old Cat 5 (not 5e) ethernet cord. We replaced the whole line with this shielded phone cable, and it is working like a dream now.

Replaced my 10+yr old 'green' cable that goes from wall to modem given by my ISP. No change in speed or stability, but that's okay. Just part of my trouble-shooting why my DSL is always dropping, modem retraining and CRC errors are through the roof.Seems well made and it works fine. Would've given more than three stars, if it were a heavier duty cable than what my ISP gave me 10+years ago.

My wifi was weak, and I could only put my router one place in the house. Where there was a lot of metal. AT&t wanted to charge me $99 to put in a connection at another part of the house. Now with this card, I can put my router anywhere in the house, and if I change my mind I can move it around. I have a house and I can put my router in the basement if I want, or the second floor, or any room. I just went through the holes for the cable. Anyway, it's a great product and it works great too. Save me a lot of money and gave me a lot of mobility within my house. Everything on Wi-Fi works better . The router was too far away from everything, and my computer doesn't have a wireless adapter. I could only use it on the back porch.

Honestly, I did not get a chance to use this. I had other problems with CenturyLink and canceled my service prior to receiving this cable. It appears to be very well made. It looks like at CAT-5 cable with molded RJ-11 connectors. You can't get much better than that. Well, sure, you could use CAT-7 with shielded connectors. But your jacks would not be shielded, and it's way overkill. Even CAT-5 is overkill for this application. I have no doubt it would work very well to carry a DSL signal with minimal interference. If I ever go back to DSL, THIS would be my cable of choice. Keep in mind, your home is likely wired with CAT-3 or 4. If it's an older home with straight 2 pair (Red/Green/Black/Yellow), you may want to run a new line for your DSL connection.UPDATE - I switched back to CenturyLink, so I am using this cable. If this is CAT5, it is very thin. The cable works fine, looks nice, and is a better length than the provided cable. Unfortunately my home is CAT3 wiring and I'm on the furthest jack in the chain. With this configuration, I will not see any increase in performance, or reduction in noise. Installing a CAT5 jack in my office would require running a new line around the house outside, or going through the garage, hallway, and around a door inside. I may do this in the future. If so, I'll update my review. I do have CAT5 from the jack to a surge protector and this cable connects from the surge protector in my UPS to the modem. The signal is stable, and the bonded DSL has both pairs working properly. I still recommend this cable, it certainly couldn't hurt.

I purchased this cable in order to move a U-Verse modem/wireless gateway from one room to another, and the original cable was too short. I initially thought that all I needed was a basic telephone cable, since that's what this looks like. But in fact, I needed some sort of Cat5e cable. After visiting a few stores, I found that most of their Cat5e cables were Ethernet cables with the wrong size (too wide) plug at the ends. Luckily, I found this cable on Amazon, and although the shipping was slower than usual (shipped from the UK), the price was very reasonable, and best of all, it works! I am getting the same speeds with this cable as I was with the cable provided by AT&T originally.

Doing some reading and researching back in October 2014 I came across the 6ft Kenable ADSL+2 High Speed Ethernet data cable which suited my needs and so I bought it. Am 55yrs old now and am expecting the Kenable data cable to outlast my lifetime because in my opinion it’s an exceptional data signal transfer device. Its wire and parts design includes a tough insulated sheath on the outside. Obviously it is capable of reducing and eliminating outside signal interference and reduces tangling and twisting therefore this particular data cable connected from the Modem to the Router provides the exact reliable physical and smooth signal transfer service required.
