The build quality of this mount is terrible. The welds have minimal penetration, do not join the material at key load points, and the drain holes in closed sections are not drilled or punched - they are blown through with a torch - very roughly made.I would not trust this to secure a boat to a trailer traveling down the road. My application is not that and I'm not sure I will even use it (hauling a small boat on a small trailer around my own property). I do not recommend.
