Purchased this because the contractor that built my home did not purchase a showerhead fixture that sticks out far enough. This extension fixed that. I just made sure to use thread sealing tape on the connection so it won't leak.

This worked great! I was having trouble adjusting the angle of my shower and tried several things. This helped me get some height to my showerhead and. Get the angle correct.

This is poorly made, it doesn’t hold up a plastic shower head even though I used a wrench to tighten the wing nuts. And it leaks like crazy. Returning this junk

We installed the adjustable extension arm along with a shower control valve and have enjoyed being able to adjust the direction and flow of the water. Easily installed. Thinking of purchasing another set of the extension arm and control valve for our other guest shower.

First the box was open should have been a sign. The nut that screws onto the shower arm was loose (hmm leak waiting to happen). Went ahead and attached but it wasn’t tight. Turned water on and not leak but spewed water from where it was loose. Couldn’t get a picture much less video as water was spitting out.

Looks great and I have an existing shower filter on my line. That being said, there is extra weight and no matter how I tried to position, it wouldn't stay where it needed to be. Ended up returning the next day.

This extension comes with all you need. Installation is simple. I screwed it on the end of the shower arm finger tight, I screwed the shower head onto the other end, then I adjusted the angle at each end, and voila!I was able to angle the shower head down more than was the case with just the shower arm, all while moving it a little further from the wall, and yet without sacrificing any height.The adjustments are easy: unscrew a knob until the interlocking teeth on each side can rotate, rotate it as close to the desired position where the teeth engage, then tighten the knob. You don’t need to tighten it a lot. The teeth hold it in place, so if the knob is tight enough to keep the teeth from slipping past the others, it will hold.The extension will rotate at the shower arm end, but not easily. That is, you can twist the extension to align it with the shower arm, yet it won’t rotate on its own during use of a handheld shower head.The extension has been in place for several weeks now with no issues whatsoever. Clearly, I can’t speak to the longevity of this extension, but I don’t anticipate any issues.

So - the person who designed my shower in the master bath must have been 7 feet tall - because the shower head is placed at around 8 feet - it's way up there. Which in some instances would not be an issue - however, the shower itself is not that big. The result was that I had to stand with my face almost touching the wall in order for the shower spray to land on my shoulders. Could not shave my legs without having to turn the water off, and the soap shelf was always behind me. Just not an ideal situation.I started looking through the various accessories and decided that with the shortness of this one, it might just work for the purpose of lowering the shower head while also moving it closer to the wall. And I was right. My son installed it for me in a matter of minutes and I can now enjoy my shower.
