This is such an easy to use tool. I had done the ones where you hit mallet to the metal before and this way is so much easier! And easier on the fingers

I really like this little punch. It makes punching holes in leather so much easier than using a hammer, and it doesn't slip like some of those types do. I like the fact that there are different size tips for making different size holes. It uses a twirling, twisting motion to cut the holes. Although sometimes I have to repeat the process once or twice, my hands are not that strong, but it is a lot easier on my hands than other methods and makes the holes neatly. I am using it to punch holes in leather straps and pieces for my rope projects, such as handbags, in order to attach the hardware. Overall, I am pleased.

One month later: I still love this punch. It is great for getting into hard to access places in the project, is fast, and makes a very smooth, well defined hole. Here are a couple of tricks I have discovered:1. Hold the punch loose in your hand. It will turn in your had when you get through all the levels of leather you are drilling.2. Keep a narrow, flat, fine file handy so you can quickly sharpen the circular cutting edge of the removeable punch you are using. Don't overdue...it only takes a few strokes as you file the edge back to sharpness.3. Use a small pin close by for cleaning the removeable cutting part. It gets junked up pretty fast...as does a hand leather punch or any leather punch for that matter. If you don't keep it clean you will be pushing out a lot of old leather or new punched leather. It's no worse than other toolss in that regard.

While it kinda works, the damned collar fell right off! In fact there's no way for it to stay on!

When I bought this, I knew it wasn't going to do the same job a Nonaka or other Japanese product would...but at this price, I'd say it does a good job. Sometimes paper gets stuck in the bit (especially the small ones) and the metal ring at the top of the drill falls off from time to time. I can get through about 5 sheets of paper cleanly, but it does leave enough of a mark that you can link up the drill again on page 6. If you're broke but want a screw punch, this will probably work fine for you.

Sharp and accurate. Not too expensive. Fits nicely in the hand and easy to use.

There are similar products for over twice as much as I paid for this punch. They all work on the same principle. This is not really a punch but more of a cutter. It rotates and cuts rather than punches the material. My only negative comment is that the cutters should be labeled as to size. Instead, you need to line them up from smallest to largest and then count based on the size you want. Would be nice if they had the size painted or etched on them. Otherwise, it works perfectly.

The mechanism is quite crude, the cutting blades were misshapen and got blunt after a few uses. Don’t waste your money
