I bought this brace to replace a hard plastic one that the VA hospital gave me for my foot dropped condition. This brace is so much comfortable and effective that I can’t tell I’m wearing it. Excellent AFO.

It works for the purpose intended but I’m very small so it’s hard to get it to where it holds my foot up the way my AFO does. It’s scratchy in the back where you strap it BUT the quality of the Velcro straps are great. I can walk around all day and feel secure. It’s also really small, not very bulky so it’s easy to hide in my pants leg. It does take a bit of getting used to if you’re used to wearing an AFO. Also be mindful, it pushes my socks down because it slides down my ankle and kinda makes the back of my ankle raw 😭😭😭😭

This is a simple solution to foot drop. But, like others have said, the velcro they used is of VERY poor quality. The velcro suspension strap (from the ankle cuff to the shoelace) de-laminated almost immediately (front and back layers separated); I glued them back together (ShoeGoo works great for such repairs). Then the grip of that velcro gave out within a few months. I constructed a different suspension strap with 1" webbing and those 3-pronged quick-release buckles, although it is possible that simply replacing the poor original with a heavier-duty velcro strap might work for some. Then, the velcro which closes the cuff around the ankle also wore out within a few months; I glued more good velcro to that spot.Like another user, I put a zip tie though the front lace holes to which the suspension strap is attached; some shoelaces may not be strong enough, in the long run, for pulling up a large foot (like mine) or if one's foot actually pulls downward (like mine). Also, remember to tie the shoes tight, otherwise the whole contraption will try to pull your heel out of the shoe.

I bought this foot brace cause momma said so. You always gotta do what momma says. It was easy to put on whenever my dad had to wear the brace. The quality seemed really good. The Velcro was good seemed pretty heavy duty. The brace is pretty light weight. Overall I would recommend it for family and friends if they needed one.

I have had MS for many years and tried other food drop remedies in the past. I gave up on those. A nurse friend of mine asked me if I tried this adjustable foot drop brace available on Amazon for a reasonable price. She explained to me how it worked. I am glad that I decided to order it. No bar down the back of my leg, no metal plate in my shoe...Just a soft pad around my ankle and a clever strap connected to my shoe lace gently helping my foot work better. I highly recommend this brace to anyone who might benefit from it.

I found it is made for smaller ankles. It just wraps around mine, and the strap to secure it just fits as well. It could be a bit bigger. But it is comfortable, and easy to use

SHOCKED AND ORDERING A SECOND PAIR!I have had a complete drop foot since an injury I obtained at 15 year of age. I went through many profession and medical grade AFOs, that I would break or grow out of. Eventually, I stopped wearing them for years.I am now 27 years old and in nurse anesthesia school. I started getting pains in my affect side hip when walking. I am not getting any younger so I bought this because it was so cheap I figured why not try it!This AFO is 22 bucks (compared to hundreds or over 1,000 dollars for my previous hard brace AFOs) and is small and made with soft materials. It is incredibly more comfortable than the hard AFOs! No one has noticed the brace under my scrubs. My hip pain is gone and I feel more confident while at work.Is this product for everyone? Maybe not, but it’s perfect for my needs. It’s small and easily packable. It’s a simplistic design, which I like. If you are on the fence, just buy one! It won’t break the bank and it’s easy to use. I hope this helps!
