I don't think this is Adjusta Post brand, because that brand has changed their name to something else (Wave Lighting). However, Wave Lighting manufactures their photo cells in China and they're much more expensive. This Summit brand product is made in USA. It's an exact swap and took only a few minutes to change. Disconnect and reconnect, that's it. I can't speak for the longevity, but so far, so good. Comes with new screws to replace the old rusty ones. I'm happy with my purchase.

Was able to simply plug male adapter from replacement into existing female adapter and push into hole and secure. No rewiring required. Purchased another brand first and the connector plugs were reversed and I would have had to rewire the switch. I loved being able to make the change with little effort. Works well.

The last person who replaced the electric eye in our yard pole used the previous version of this light, and it barely squeezed into the hole on the pole. This version, however, is slightly smaller diameter, and went into the hole with no problem. The light now shuts off in the daytime, and lights up at night like it's supposed to. And it took longer to write this review than it did to replace the sensor, since the last person who replaced it did all the wiring work for me. All I had to do was turn off power to the light, unscrew the old sensor, uncouple the plug, plug in the new sensor, put the screws holding the sensor back in the pole, and turn the power back on.Easy peasy.

The unit worked perfectly as a replacement as a post light sensor. Just two items that would have made installation easier and the final installation perfect.1) There was no mention in the instructions about a time delay in the "turn on" and "turn off" of the light the sensor was controlling. Not knowing this made the installer believe the unit was not working adding approximately 1/2 hour to the completion of the job. Taking that amount of time to realize there were delays in operating.2)The fit of the unit on the lamp post was not perfect, but allowed a gap of about 1/16 inch around the top of the radius necessitating a calking seal to be required to keep rain water from entering the pipe.Thankfully the unit is working properly.
