There were no fasteners in the box. The template was 1/4" too small all around. It's a good thing I caught that and made the hole larger on the first try.

Too small for anything other than a postcard to go in easily.A magazine or large envelope will not go into this boxDo not buy this - Also - poor manufacturing - 2 of the holewould not align - we had to re-drill them - luckily the guyinstalling it is a metal worker so he got it to work

Materials it is made is really good, heavy and to install make sure to have extra hardware especially to install in woodI installed on my wood fence and comes only wit 4 tiny screws those are really small to hold and secure this heavy mailbox.

We had to get something that was more up to date and this was perfect! The door that opens out towards customer allows them to deposit payments and secure paperwork with no worries!

This letter box looks good from the outside of my fence, and works well - except for magazines which often get stuck in the flap. For smaller items, it's great.

I have some do it yourself skills, so fitting the box was actually quite easy. the inside door is secure and the whole thing is well made and sturdy. The flap is not totally waterproof, but so far I have had no issues. I put a layer of plastic foam in the bottom and drilled a drainage hole, just in case, but no issues so far...

Easy install. Door on the back doesnt close tight. Rained out and the water filled the bottom of the mail box

Unfortunately there were lots of dislikes for the money you pay for. Package came in terrible shape, mailbox not properly secured inside the box so no wonder paint was all chipped out.You can slide mail only half way because of the ledge that's on the interior upper door side. Don't like the casing that supposed to finish the door cut rough opening.Cheap product all the way. Just telling facts.

This mailbox is the perfect thing for a thru-wall item. It was to big for my intent and the company refunded me the money with no problem. Buyer beware this mailbox weighs 18# so plan on securing it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy thru-wall mailbox.

We took a change and have bought 4 of these for outside use. These are not intended for outside use if i remember correctly. With that said they have worked with some alteration. We added holes in the bottom for moisture control and had to make these little mesh trays to keep mail from touching the bottom Incase there's any pooling water. In addition to that we added a ledge above the boxes for protection from rain. We use these on a fence for our tenants and only the front seemed to collect rain, the back does fine. We also sprayed these with a clear coat for added protection and longevity. Lastly these are great for mail, like envelopes and magazines however not so great for that wadded up pile of junk the post office pollutes us with daily. There are these "teeth" inside the box that are part for the hinged door that restrict wads of junk mail.I gave this 5 stars because it's designed purpose i think it's great and very well made, oh and very easy to install. No need for perfection when cutting the hole in your door or fence cause the unit has two plates that will cover any imperfections resulting in a clean look.Those "teeth" i mentioned are my only complaint but not really their fault

This lock box is very heavy duty. Constructed of steel and has a great hammered black powder coat finish. The unit is very high quality. I wasn’t sure if it was worth spending $140 on a lock box, but I’m glad I did because you can’t put a price on safety and security right?Installation for my situation wasn’t that bad, i had to do a little tweaking because I mounted the box to a corrugated steel faced garage door. All in all it should be a very straightforward install for anyone with a solid wooden door.I liked that it came with all the hardware and (2) keys. I just with it came with double the amount of washers for the hardware so that I can put them on the outside of the mounting surface as well, that’s the only thing I had to purchase separately.I also had to silicone caulk around the lock box because there was a slight gap between the inside and outside where the frame mounted and the actual lock box met. If they included some kind of gasket this would be a perfect install.

This is a great product. Very well built and money well spent. My only issue is that the key is a little difficult to get out and im afraid it might cause issues down the road. It's just 'snug". However that shouldn't detour anyone from purchasing. It's a great deal and functions exactly the way it needs to.
