** UPDATE TO REVIEW **This is an update to my review, prompted by the seller reaching out to me after reading my initial review. In response to the great customer service and the seller’s assurance that the company was notified of the problem with the adhesive on the back of the hooks, I have chosen to upgrade my review to 4 stars. It’s good to know there are still people out there that value their customers and want to keep them happy!Okay, so I have used two of these and they both failed. I thought these would be nice to hang a cookbook stand so that it was within reach, and although the hook is long enough, the adhesive is not strong enough. The cookbook stand weighs less than 2 pounds,10 ounces, and it has twice come crashing down to the countertop. I could understand if it was close to the 8 pound limit that that is noted in the description, but this bookstand is 5 pounds lighter than that…and it still won’t hold it! And just so that there’s no questions, I did clean the area with alcohol before putting up both of the hooks, and then I let the hooks sit overnight (actually longer) before I attempted to hang anything on them. Hence, I feel I took the necessary precautions to give these the best chance of sticking. Therefore, I do not recommend these! If it can’t hold my 3 pound item, it’s certainly not going to hold your 8 pound product.

We bought these to hang in the cab of a semi. We use one for headset and it's perfect. It has remained attached to the cab and is a sturdy hook for the headset. Looks like part of the original equipment. These are highly useful hooks.

Solid product holds up in wet or dry environment easy to install. Haven't tried to remove yet so not sure how easy that's going to be.

I have updated my review. After contacting customer service, the seller replaced my defective product at no charge. You can be sure that this seller stands behind their product and buy it with confidence. Thank you seller!OLD:I use these in my office for patients to hang coats, purses, keys etc. Two are great but the third one only lasted 3 months. I make sure they do not hang heavy bags on these hooks. When this one broke it was holding a light purse, about 2.5-3 lbs max. Looking at the broken pieces, I can't figure out how it's attached. It doesn't look welded and it doesn't screw in.I really liked these. They are perfect sized, look great and the adhesive really sticks great.Pro-tip: I was able to remove the really sticky adhesive without damaging the cabinet surface by using a heat-gun on medium heat, and a putty-knife.
