I really need a loader because of a shoulder issue I have. The twisting and jamming motion you use to load a magazine aggravates the heck outta it. I looked into a lot of loaders and tried a few at some local gun stores. I finally ordered this one from Amazon because it seemed to fit the bill. What I especially like:The price. Even with shipping, this was significantly less expensive than any of the other loaders.Works effortlessly once you get the hang of it.No moving parts. There are a couple of loader that cost stupid amounts of money for what they are that have pretty cheap looking moving parts. I just don't see them lasting very longWhat you need to know:There are a couple of videos in the reviews that show how this works. Watch them! Some reviewers complain about it being complicated to use, it's not, but you have to do it right: This is right: FIRST Load the FIRST round without it! It will jam up if you use it on the fist round because of uneven pressure on the magazine's plate, the first round evens out the pressure. Next when you push down and slide the next round in, it will NOT (by design) go all the way in, you have to raise the loader back UP to make room for the bullet, the clips on the mag should hold it in place. THEN push the bullet back into place. and you are done. Also MAKE sure you order the loader to your gun, caliber and model. The magazine should fit SNUGGLY in the loader. If it doesn't, you got the wrong one and need to exchange it. I understand this was a BIG problem with earlier loaders made by ADCO, but they have pretty much all makes and models covered now.

Works great ... does exactly what it is intended to do ... makes loading the clip much easier. The last two shells going into my Bersa Thunder clip are pretty hard to load by hand. This simple loader sure makes loading much easier. There's a bit of technique involved in using this loader, but nothing that can't be learned pretty quickly.

Works, but not as easily and fast as "lula" type mag loader, which is expensive and also well made and works for 9mm - 45 cal.; if used carefully will also easily load .380.

This works great. I am a 5' 2" petite older woman and this makes loading my magazines so much easier. I am able to load them by hand, but why do that when I can do it easier and faster with this. I would recommend it to anyone. It is simple and uncomplicated to use. Also small, which makes it easy to bring along to the shooting range.

This product is only slightly better than loading by hand. The part that pushes the the follower down is to thick so you have to pull it up each time then push each bullet in the rest of the way. The Baby Lula is a much better design spend the extra money its worth it

A clever and simple product. Be aware that it will not fit a Hi-Point 9mm C9 magazine. It appears that a modification may be possible. I'm going to try it today. Nonetheless, if you're expecting it to work right out of the box you'll have to get a different product. I wish there were a rating to warn people about mis-matches rather than having to downgrade to assure attention is paid. It's not really fair to the manufacturer.Update: I tried to fit this to the Hi-Point magazine with no success. I probably could have forced a solution but at the cost of drastically weakening this item. You would be wise not to buy this. I purchased a different product that works well:

It does take the pressure off the thumb which is what it was designed to do. This model was supposed to fit 380 acp. It does work for my Bersa Thunder 380 but does not fit my Ruger LC380. They do not have one that is an exact fit for that weapon but one that was designed for a 9mm can be made to work with some shimming. Also the cost of the loader is lower from the manufacturer as is the shipping.
