Even though my son jumped on it, it still works fine. Measured 12stone 4 lbs on this, and 12 stone 4 lbs on a digital. Gives value in lbs and kg

Its a cute little scale that fits easily in a smalll space But the numbers are rather small. I can read them, but it might be difficult for someone else.

I purchased this primarily to weigh my garage door to confirm the correct size of counter-balance torsion bars, and as a backup to a digital scale.1. Its $20, and the cheapest of mechanical scales sold on Amazon. The metal construction is on a light side, but I'm comparing to my USA made from the 1970's which used hefty metal.2. The scale dial needs to be adjusted to "0 Lbs" with the wheel on the lower end of the scale. Then, use as normal.3. I checked the weight reading against a digital scale, and they match. Either both are accurate (+/- 2 lbs) or both are incorrect, but I think they're accurate or 1 or 2 lbs off.4. The numbering is a bit small, because the dial readings are for max 300 lbs and quite compressed on the dial. It requires eagle eyes to read if the reading isn't on a 5 or 10 lb mark, like 172 insead of 170 or 175.Bottom line, it's $20, and it seems accurate. If you just want to weigh yourself and dislike the compressed numbering, consider a digital scale Digital scales I think need some capacitive disturbance and may not weight things (non-human); I just know a digital scale doesn't weigh my garage doors.
