It was exactly what I ordered and it was easy to use but the chemical smell was horrible and my cats hate it. But I also used it on the carpet and furniture and cat beds and cat blankets and it was perfect

Kills fleas instantly. Claims to break flea life cycle and I believe it.Slight smell of ether, used to make it evaporate quickly. aBest I can say? It freakin' WORKS, in a time when so many products fall short, it works.

This product is fast acting, effective and easy to use. If you have an active infestation you are going to have to do multiple things to get it under control, but this product helps immensely.

One of the side effects listed on this bottle is "excessive salivation". How bad could that be?Well, let me tell you.Our cat developed a small flea problem concentrated on her back near the tail. We gave her Advantage and waited a couple of days, assuming the live adult fleas would die off within a day or two as that product said. After two days, we flea combed her and were able to find around 10 live fleas in the affected area throughout the day. Since the fleas weren't dying yet, we decided to step things up by trying this spray. We administered a few sprays directly to her skin around the affected area, lifting the fur up so it would penetrate. When I say "a few", I mean roughly 10-15 partial sprays. Far fewer than the 10 full sprays per pound of body weight listed on the package as a safe dose. After that she went to eat dinner, and we assumed everything would be fine as long as she didn't lick the spray area too much. We kept an eye on her as she ate, and she did not attempt to lick it even once.About 20-30 minutes later, she ran into one of our bedrooms in a panic. I heard the noise and went to see what was up. I found her in there with massive gobs of saliva foaming from her mouth, some hanging down 6 inches all the way to the floor. It looked almost like she was vomiting up saliva, except it was all hanging down from her. I'm not sure if she was panicking so much merely because of the saliva hanging from her face, or if she was choking or in pain. Regardless, she was freaking out and running around the house with massive foaming blobs of saliva hanging and occasionally falling from her face.At this point we were pretty worried as well, thinking that she might be having a severe allergic reaction. The package said to bathe her with large amounts of warm water in the case of any reaction. We did that, and she got back to normal almost immediately. A couple days later and she's still doing fine, fortunately. For about 15 minutes I was pretty scared my cat was going to die from this stuff. Took her to the vet today and our vet was adamant that nobody should be using this spray on their cat because the reactions are so common and so severe. Don't make the same mistake we did.

I am using this product on both of cats, and it is very effective. The fleas seem to get stunned when you first apply the spray, and they will just fall off your cat. One of my cat is very sensitive, and he drooled when I spray the flea control on him. He did that for about 10 minutes, and I was really concerned with him because I know he has always been very sensitive to several chemicals. However, this is apparently a harmless side effect. My husband read on Adams' website that some cats may drool because of the bitterness of this product, but it will go away after awhile. So far, I am satisfied with this product.

My cats are usually house cats but after moving into a home with a backyard, my husband and I thought it would be fun to give our cats some outdoor access. We used a spot on flea treatment which unfortunately did not work and our cats suffered a major flea infestation. I purchased this spray and felt confident it would work well for our situation since it had decent reviews here on amazon. I was wrong. If I sprayed it directly on my cats, the fleas seemed to jump to another spot on the cat, in order to make sure the fleas were getting covered with the spray, I would have had to soak my cats in this stuff which wasn't happening. The smell was strong of chemicals and one of my two cats had a severe reaction to the spray. He started drooling profusely and vomiting, once that happened I was no longer spraying my cats directly. I decided to then comb the cats and spray any fleas that were on the comb. The spray stunned the fleas but did not kill them, it did make them slow enough to be able to pop them with my fingernail thus killing them. But how well does that really work if the cats have eggs on them, I can't kill the eggs since I cannot spray the cat directly without it having a reaction, so even though I was killing the fleas the eggs laid would hatch and just produce more fleas. It was a vicious cycle.I caved in and bought frontline for both of my cats. While I wasn't happy with how this product worked, it did help. If you have a very minor infestation this could solve your problem. This would even be good if you let your cat outdoors and saw maybe a flea or two upon coming indoors. But if you are seeing dozens of fleas I do not recommend this spray.
