ADAM Audio T5V Active Nearfield Monitor The ADAM Audio T5V Active Nearfield Monitor is a highly affordable two-way nearfield monitor optimized for small control rooms. Ergonomics With its 5-inch woofer, the T5V’s bass frequency response extends to 45 Hz. The new U-ART tweeter – an innovative solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget – reaches up to 25 kHz and is coupled to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in Adam Audio’s flagship S-Series monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform high-frequency dispersion provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mixing position while you work. Mechanism A beveled cabinet with a rear-firing bass reflex port and small footprint allows it to be placed anywhere in your room, no matter how small, and contains built-in DSP-controlled driver crossovers and EQ as well as multi-way analog connections. Powered by a 50W Class D amplifier for the woofer and a 20W Class D amplifier for the U-ART tweeter, the T5V produces SPLs of up to 106 dB per pair. Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and an excellent cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video and broadcast production. U-ART - 1.9-inch Accelerated Ribbon TweeterThe new U-ART 1.9-inch Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter, as used in the T-Series, is made from a high-tech polyimide film and provides pristine, extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz Package Includes: 2 x ADAM Audio T5V Active Nearfield Monitors 2 x FocusProAudio 25-Foot XLR Male-to-Female Microphone Cables

I went from a 15yr old set of 8" active to these. Wow. The ribbon tweets are so detailed without harshness. I have them in the horizontal position, with the tweets on the inside. Everything I've read about these being untouchable for the money, I would have to agree.

Tried JBL, Yamaha but kept these. Sound great, nice warranty and perfect for a small studio set up.

I love these speakers. I run them using the WiiM Streamer Ultra. I love how crisp the highs are. I would highly recommend a sub woofer with these. It's a small driver to expect there to be a lot of bass. I paired the speakers with the ultra cheap OSD Nero Tube Subwoofer (see my review for that). The subwoofer, when toned down, sounds great with these speakers. All together, for the complete desk system of speakers, streamer and sub cost around $1000 and I don't know how much better it can get. The speakers are awesome!!

Was needing to replace an old pair of Pioneer Bulit 5 reference speakers for my video editing. They served me well for 8 years. One unexpectedly just stopped working so I did a fair amount of research for a replacement. Pioneer apparently doesn't make those monitors any longer so I opted for these on the recommendation of an audio engineer friend. They don't disappoint! In fact, I'm hearing frequencies and range with these that I wasn't with the Pioneers. Was worried about the low-end with these, but they definitely deliver and everything is crisp and clean! An absolute bargain for this price.

I had heard Adam Audio studio monitors a friend purchased so I knew the quality. I edit Audio & Video in my office and operate sound systems for larger events. These sound fantastic. I was contemplating getting the sub woofer with them but it is not needed, they are loud, punchy and very flat. Flat meaning they reproduce what you are supposed to hear. Better bass response than I expected. Note: office is 12'x12' not for really big rooms.

I had a set of Audio Engine A2+ for a couple of years and they provided a massive upgrade from the built in speakers on my thunderbolt display (although those are not terrible). The T5v excel in every way. The tweeters are definitely a stand out feature - no harshness, smooth roll off and great dispersion. I have these holes up to a Schiit Jotunheim via balanced output (not sure if the balanced output makes a discernable difference, but it's fun to have). I think I have achieved audio Nirvana for my home office setup and see no real reason to spend any more money than $400 for a music lover and occasional video editor.
