The product was noted as used because the packaging was damaged but on opening one of the drawers had serious damage to the face with both the left and right side broken off revealing that the product was made of particle board with a wood vaneer - not solid wood. There were no drawer stops so the break likely occurred because the drawer was pushed all the way into the cavity. The second door is starting to peel away in the same way. This product was reported as Very Good condition. I would rate it as poor condition.

Really liked the design and sturdiness. It was easy to assemble with very little effort and time. The reason for the four is it was slightly damaged on one side. However Amazon provided a discount and it was minor. I'd recommend it.

This product met or exceeded my expectations. The chess board has squares that are 2 inches by 2 inches (I errantly reported smaller squares earlier. A number of friends have commented on how fine the table looks.

My uncle has this exact table which I love! Be warned, doesn't come with chess pieces. I love this table's design, but you need to inspect items carefully before accepting this table. Small crack as shown in the picture, but for something this expensive, it's gotta be 💯 perfect. It would be equivalent to having one piece of your chess set missing a head lol. But this table rocks so you don't have to find a chess mat. Also doesnt have any issues of being lopsided and is easy to put together with not that much hardware. It has a lot of Styrofoam for packaging so make sure you bring a vacuum cleaner along when constructing this table.

Really easy to put together. Love the cherry color finish. Very comfortable to play games at using 2 of our dining chairs that are on casters.
