My son's 1993 had a remanufactured 4L60E installed a year ago. Several months ago, it started leaking fluid out the front seal. I added about 3/4 bottle of Blue Devil Transmission Stop Leak. A few days later, my son lost 3-4 gear. We replaced the A & B shift solenoids with ACDELCO, flushed the transmission to remove the stop leak, but still no 3-4 gears. I read a review about a similar situation, so I ordered this part. Now my son's transmission shifts as it should! Still have a front seal leak, so that's our next project!

Before saying what I really want to: Amazon delivery was perfect and part arrived in perfect condition. Now what I really want to say: I had a P1810 code and every forum/video/google search pointed towards changing this part and it would erase the code. Thing is, the new part was installed with the necessary care and after closing everything up, the truck did not have torque on Drive. It had a little more torque in Reverse and it appeared to be selecting gears, even the 4x4 (2Hi, 4Hi 4Lo) but no torque. Reinstalled the old part, same issue remains.TLDR; Now the truck is in limp mode or similar with no way of triggering code because she can't drive. So make sure you *really* need this part before doing anything else even if everything that you find on the internet tells you that's what you need.

It’s works I got 4th gears back but it feels weird, every morning I start my truck and wait for my truck to warm up, every time I drive off theirs a little delay when going from third to fourth every time for some reason and once that goes to fourth my truck runs perfectly like nothing happened and no more delays , I don’t know if it’s because it cold outside and my transmission fluid isn’t warm enough because I have a transmission cooler install too, it only does it once’s every time I start my truck every day and after that no delays and runs like it’s brand new. But good ACDelco product, at least I got 4th gear back. (My old Automatic Transmission Manual Valve Position Pressure Switch makes it where 4th gear doesn’t exist sometimes).Update: yep it’s the cold because for the past three days it was warm and my 3 to 4th gears works perfectly fine and now the cold came back and theirs a little delay again, now I got to wait extra more minutes to warm up my fluid, which sucks but hey at least I got my 4th gear back. 👍

Had issues with erratic shifts, this manifold, which included the factory update, did the trick. Shifts like new.

I had bought a remanufactured transmission, and it went about 1000 miles and started throwing codes, shift solenoid codes and this part. At first it was just shift solenoid codes, P0751 and P0753, then when I was ready to drop the pan and replace them I checked for codes and P1810 popped up as well. I decided to order the part before dropping the pan for the shift solenoid valves. I checked line pressures first; they were in range. Then I dropped the pan, replaced both of the shift solenoid valves and the TFP switch, also replaced the filter with an AC Delco filter, all parts were AC Delco, I have a feeling the rebuilder was using aftermarket parts, not OEM, the filter was plastic, the AC Delco on is metal with a plastic neck. Just because the pan gaskets always eventually leak, I installed a Moroso reusable gasket, a little spendy, but they never leak. The rebuilt transmission always had a hard shift in pretty much all gears. Before repairs I was experiencing second gear starts and slippage in Overdrive (4th gear). I cleaned up the pan, minimal material on the magnet, normal clutch dust, no metal or brass. Filled it up with synthetic ATF, all I ever use. Cleared the fault codes, then started it up, let it get the fluid going through it, then went through the gears, let it get warmed up, topped off fluid, took about 5.5 quarts total. Took it for a test drive with a scan tool and watched operation of things, gear commanded, TCC lock up, etc. Shifted like butter, no more harsh shift, no returning codes, hitting on all cylinders. Downshift great, no slippage in Overdrive. Problem solved!! Going on a 3500 mile road trip in a couple of weeks, so I am glad this worked out or would have had to cancel. OEM parts make all the difference, worth it, and these were cheap enough. This is an easy enough repair for someone that has moderate mechanic experience. Most people get intimidated working on automatic transmissions, if you are just working on the bottom end of it, it's really not that bad. It helps if you have a scan tool, that is for certain.
