Right out of the box this planer/shaper gauge comes in a very classy looking aluminum case for safe keeping. The case has a strong latch to prevent the gauge from falling out when moving it around the shop. Once inside the gauge and height blocks come wrapped in plastic with a slight amount of storage oil to prevent rusting of the precision components. The gauge is very high quality and it shows. The price at time of purchase was 189.00 which is quite reasonable for such an indispensable piece of measuring equipment.The main block includes a precision level to ensure your table is completely level prior to equipment setup. This gauge set is perfect for setting up shaper bits for cabinet making. I have also found it to be the ideal tool for setting up a friends milling machine. The gauge itself can be used for measurements from 1/4" to 6 1/4" with extension posts included at 1" and 3".Overall, I have been extremely impressed with the Accugauge planer/shaper gauge set. It has fully lived up to expectations and has proved its place in my shop.
