Did not like at all, could not keep dial indicator in one spot, took me hrs to finally get it to keep in one spot without moving. Kept coming loose, very disappointed.

I'm by no means a mechanic, but I use this tool to check lateral runout on rotors for my vehicles and the vehicles of friends/family. The price point is excellent and it is very accurate. Great for DIY.

flex arm is a little hard to keep locked at certain points. The dial indicator is decent quality.

The flexible stalk is a bit too slack requires almost maximum adjustment to tighten it up otherwise the inficator and pliers are well made.. it is pretty much equivalent to the very high priced ones I have used in the past.

Did not work. Would not lock when I tried to measure the run out on a rotor

Bought this to check for brake rotor run-out. Seems to work fine. No instructions come with the kit, but rather straight forward. One does have to realize that you get rid of most the slack by rotating the nut on the gauge end, and then use the lever at the other end to lock the arm in place.

The dial seems to be working correctly (but I can't measure it's accuracy). The flexible arm is too soft even when locked in place. I had to clip the tool strategically to be able to take a measure. As long as there is a loop in the flexible arm, the arm is unable to old it's weight. The dial is always moving. The only way I could take a measure, is by letting the flexible arm be supported by the wheel's splash guard.

The dial is accurate (I assume), the flex arm performs but the locking pliers are really cheesy they reek of what I assume must be paint? The finish is really rough and uncomfortable, had to take sandpaper and smooth out the finish.
