This is a solid steady smooth piece of equipment, very smooth. Easy and straight forward to set up and operate. Powered by NP Battery however its power consumption is minimal. A battery I thought was dead was able to operate it. Very pleased with this.

I researched for a while for the "best" "budget" slider and the S40 came out on top. It's nearly silent in operation and is so versatile which is great. It would have been nice if it included the ball head but that wasn't a problem and was expected.Looking forward to using it a lot more but so far it's been great!
