This bell is very small and easy to mount anywhere. Perfect to notify walkers that you are passing them on a bike. But if you need to wake up a driver you might need something louder.

This is the worst bell I've ever seen. The attachment band is threaded, and the collar should tighten it, accept it's too weak and just jumps the threads. The hammer for the bell is in a fixed position. Stupid.

Bell is plenty loud and rings out clearly. Easy to use once installed. My bike's handlebars are too big around for many other models of bells. The strap that adjusts to put the unit on the handle bars is quite stiff and a bit unwieldy. Took more work to do that than expected. However, once on, the bell is fine.

Not sure if I was just lucky but this bell has an absolutely lovely sound that lasts and lasts. The first time I used it was on a busy recreation path that has bikes, rollerbladers, parents pushing babies in strollers, folks out for a walk - everybody - so the bell got a good workout. It did its primary function of getting people's' attention but also put smiles on many faces. It even elicited a joking "here comes the ice cream truck" from an adult. In addition to its lovely and long lasting sound, it is very easy to install so that I can switch it easily between my road bike and my hybrid.

I am so impressed with this bike bell. It is not a 'cha-ching' bell; it is a single strike bell, so if you want it to ring more than once, you need to strike the hammer each time. What I love is the loud, clear, crisp, gorgeous and long-lasting tone of this bell. Best ever. It's also very easy to install and takes minimal space on your handlebar, and it is beautiful in it's simplicity. Comes exactly as pictured and described. Great price. Quality made. You won't regret buying this bike bell!
