How To Measure An Access Panel:
Overall Size: MEASURE the size of the DUCT OPENING. Do not measure the old access panel. If your duct opening is 14" wide by 14" tall, order a 14x14.

The door is made from melamine. So it cannot be painted easily. It’s also yellowing(see photo). Will look terrible on my stark white ceiling. Sending it back. The product photos don’t look like this. Also the strap to keep the door from swinging open is too long and am cannot be adjusted. Great concept, poor delivery.

This is poor quality. Not as described or shown in the photo. The door is chipboard, not steel. The same item properly described is available at half the price.

I ordered a 20"x20" panel to cover plumbing work that needs to be checked normally. I had a plumber detect a leak and it made more sense to have my plumber and contractor put an access panel. I received a package today that has a 10 "x10" panel (see pictures) you need to enlarge the pictures and read both labels carefully and also the second barcode off in the lower right-hand corner. The large label has a barcode on it, above the barcode, it says 20 x 20, Color White, then it has an SKU that says: AS-S-230-10x10, (the 10 x10) , then the small barcode to the right on the bottom has 20"x20" as the dimensions. I would imagine, that most folks sending this would realize that this is not labeled correctly, see the tape measure for the actual size sent. The issue at hand, is my plumber and contractor come and the materials they need are not here, this costs me money $$$, and plumbers don't exactly work cheaply, this is another visit and there is another charge. Same with the contractor. Really not acceptable on this company's behalf, I would rate this a zero if I could!

I purchased the door to fit a 20x20" opening. The door arrived in an oversize box with no padding at all. Two corners were pretty bent, probably from flopping around in the huge box. Also in the item photo the area around the door was supposed to be a lip with many holes for mudding the door to drywall. The one I received had a frame that sits on top of the drywall. I straightened the corners and used it anyway. It seems reasonably sturdy, although there isn't any sound insulation as suggested in the description, just the plain painted steel. So, 2 stars off for being damaged and not matching the description.

It came in chiped. Company needs to do a better job on shipping packaging but other than that item was sturdy kinda heavy frame made out of steel and door out of mdf with vinyl finish.
