Helpful Tips & Tricks

Here are some steps to help make at home ear care a pleasant process

Be positive! Give lots of praise & pats, plus treats before and after.
When it is time to clean or treat, go find your pet rather than calling them to you. Use GENTLE restraint techniques; go to a relatively small area so they can’t run from you.
Have a helper hold your pet so you have both hands free. Be gentle. Avoid pulling too firmly on the ear or poking the ear canal. Usually just gently holding back the ear flap is all that is needed to gain access.

How quickly will Silver Honey Vet Strength Rapid Ear Care Doses work?

Silver Honey ear care treatments are proven to start working in 30 minutes and helps soothe discomfort immediately. We recommend using our drops EVERY OTHER DAY for 10 days, and using our rinse daily for the same 10 days.
Does the ear dosage work for any size dog or cat? What if I can’t fit it all into my pet’s ear?

The dosage amounts provided are appropriate for all size dogs or cats. If some of the concentrate flows back out of smaller ears, the residual can be wiped away. A sufficient amount will have reached into the ear to treat the condition.
How do I use Silver Honey Rapid Ear Care?

Apply rinse daily to remove debris (filling the ear canal, massaging into the ear, then let your pet shake their head so debris can be removed), then apply concentrated doses to clean ears and massage in, every other day after the rinse.
Can I just use regular Silver Honey Wound care in my pet’s ear?

The formulation of the ear care dosing ointment is different than the wound care products. Only the ear care products should be used for treating ear problems. The wound care product may be used on the exterior of the ear for irritations or dry skin.

I originally fell in love with the wound repair then saw this. My golden gets a few ear infections a year so I do my best to regularly clean his ears to prevent what I can. This doesn’t have a smell, he doesn’t seem bothered by it all and it works great at breaking up wax.

My 1 year old Boston Terrier has an ear infection, and has gunk in one ear that I have been cleaning for a week with cotton balls and wipes. Nothing seemed to relieve the itching, and scratching.This product I decided to try, and I am glad that I did. I applied it as the instructions said, and almost immediately she was in relief of itching and pain. Allowed her to shake her head as instructed, and her ear I could tell wasn't as bothersome. With 10 minutes she was the normal high energy pup she was a week ago. A++ FOR THIS PRODUCT. WILL BUY AGAIN AS NEEDED!
