Works as advertised. Thin strips of stainless steel that tell you the gap. I use them for my grain mill when I crush grains before brewing beer. There is a lot of oil on them to keep them from rusting and it takes a bit of work to get it off.

As others have said, this thing comes covered in machine oil; fine if you're working in a machine shop, but not for me. Fortunately, cleaned up well with dishwashing detergent and a careful drying - no rust yet that I can see. And it does the job quite well.

The quality is really good, markings are very legible, some of the gauges are so thin they feel like tissue paper. I also like the fact that the edges are not razor sharp this is important when trying to seat lip seals in hydraulic systems like transmissions your not too concerned about cutting the seal like with a knife blade.

quality tool, came on time. Warning this item ships from the States and you may get dinged for customs duty chargers.

The feeler gauge set came well packaged and oiled, as noted by others. The thinner gauges are protected by thicker ones on the outside of the stack. On first use the binding screw was a little tight making it hard to fan out without twisting the thinner gauges. I can loosen this up a touch to make it easier.I did not check the thickness accuracy as I only have a caliper and it's probably not as accurate as the gauges are.Price is good and it comes in a nice little package so it doesn't get oil all over the place in the toolbox. Recommended.Five stars - not a complicated tool. It just does what it's supposed to.

This was a great deal on the most varietal set of gauges I could find. I needed these to check the headspace for an 1887 Martini-Henry and although the description was a bit murky (as to whether all the sizes I needed were there), they worked out well. Please keep in mind, I am NOT a tool expert. The .0010 gauge and smaller felt very thin and flimsy but physics taught me that I should expect that (as it was 10,000th of an inch thick). The gauges were covered in oil in a plastic package (I've got no idea if this is normal) but I assume it's necessary to help avoid corrosion while storing. No matter to me as I will use these once a year maybe haha. Seriously, 6 bucks or something, not bad at all.I spot checked the sizes and they matched. I did not check all (only the 5 I used ranging from 0.006 to .0010").

For the price, this is a great product. People complained about the oil coating, but honestly, it took me about 3 minutes with a shop towel to wipe the individual strips off. The only issue that would be worth complaining about would be the accuracy - and I have no way to assess that. So assuming that the thicknesses are correct, you can't beat it for the price.

Great tool for my CL350 Honda. Lots of uses, very durable, and easy to use. Just make sure it is clean before you use it. Especially on anything electronic. (i.e. on points and plugs it needs to be free from oil and grime)

I misplaced my old gap gauge and needed a new one, I prefer these blades over the tapered token gauges as there's a lot more flexibility in use. I received my order the very next day, awesome! It was VERY well packaged and sealed, the only negative comment I would have is that it was over oiled. I'd guess they dip the tool in an oil vat and never allow any time to dry up or remove any excess oils. Plan your first 10-20 minutes to de-oil the tool, then you'll be good to go.
