A Closer Look
Easy to Use
To use, simply select the correct bushing, align straight and centered, and then pound in/out. They are reversible, so if you aren't familiar with installing, turn a larger size backward and put in a flanged seal.

The solid, knurled handle offers extra grip and control during use. The collars fit standard race sizes used in most wheel bearing applications, and the aluminum construction won’t mar the bearing.

I use this on my atv front barrings. If you need anything smaller than that you must get another set because this one don't go down to the smallest barring. People put that it mushrooms out after hitting, but I used my rubber red hammer and it didn't mushroom any and it didn't make a mark on my barrings. If you use a hard hammer of course it's going to mushroom out because it's just aluminum. If someone steals this set I would buy again. It will last my life time and im a 83 model so great by buy for what I needed. Great Product im my opinion.

First time user of installers, but I am fairly mechanically inclined. Used these to rebuild a Ford 8.8 inch rear end assembly. Unfortunately one of the bearing races installed had a different diameter/ taper than what came in the installer kit. That most likely falls on me for not confirming that the pieces in the kit matched up with what I had needed for my bearing races. I think these do have some variety based on the kit.I'm not sure if race drivers are supposed to be spot on in terms of the fit or if some mismatch is allowed.Overall, a very solid kit, nice case. The parts stood up to some pretty good hammering.

The tool is well built but I don't think the case will last long. It got damaged in shipping (poor packaging) and the hinge and latch looks like they will break off with repeated opening and closing.Other than that tool works well

I replaced both races and bearings on a Dexter 5200 lb. axle. This made driving in the races a breeze. Something that I did when driving the races in was actually flip the driver disc to where the widest part was facing out and the tapered part was facing towards the handle. This actually allowed a better fit to the O.D. of the race and made it to where I was just applying force to the outer perimeter of the race when driving it in. It also worked really well when tapping the seal into the hub.I wished I could have used these when tapping the races out, but I had already done that before this tool set came in.Well worth the money.

Ordered this a while back, didn’t use it until now for a simple valve cover gasket job, to seat the spark plug seals in the valve cover. I’m a 5’0 tall 150 lb. woman, not super strong and these bug has no can handle.Metal is shet quality, may be better off looking elsewhere for a tool that will last. Pretty bummed, good to have a set of these as a mechanic but I wouldn’t recommend these

As advertised. Nice quality. Nicely machined aluminum surfaces. This kit made removing and inserting seals/bearings during my motorcycle engine rebuild a breeze - much better than trying to find sockets to fit. The large, flat, smooth surface helps to ensure and verify bearings and seals are seated fully and/or flush with the outer surface. The driver handle is also aluminum so if you have a stubborn bearing you'll fairly easily smash/indent the end of the handle when hammering. I'm assuming this is intended by design to ensure you're not damaging the bearing during install - if you properly heat/freeze things the bearing should drop in with little force. If you have to hit the driver handle hard enough to damage it beyond use you're doing something wrong. A very simple and effective tool set. Look closely at the sizes in this kit - they are not for small bearings/seals.
