This review is for ABN 4in 3-Jaw Gear Puller which I purchased in February of 2020.The product arrived on time and as advertised by the seller.I initially purchased this gear puller in order to repair an old sprinkler pump; the gear puller was fine for removing the damaged bearing. Since then I have used it a couple of times for bearing removal during maintenance of a trolling motor.I am very satisfied with the gear puller; its arms are adjustable to two sizes for larger (sprinkler pump) and smaller (trolling motor) uses. The central screw is turned with a regular spanner. I do not expect to have to acquire any other gear puller for future jobs.

Decent enough and worked well to pull a bearing from a motor shaft. I should have purchased the set as I needed a longer one for another shaft after i bought this one. Now it will sit in the tool box for years until the wife or kids sell it in the estate sale for a dollar. On the other hand I guess you never know when you'll need to replace motor bearings again.

Amazon delivered this tool at 9:15 this morning. By 9:30 it had done its job. Yes, it was a relatively small bearing, but was frozen onto the axle. I used a large crescent wrench to turn the screw. There was a loud snap and I thought the tool had broken. It was the bearing breaking loose. This tool weighs 3.5 pounds. It is well made. It will do the jobs for which it was designed. Forget the negative reviews.

After pounding on a wheel hub on my old garden cart with a sledgehammer for 2 1/2 hours (it started out as a wheel!), I decided to take a two day break and order a puller not having any idea if it would work. When I first tried it I couldn’t keep the puller shaft on the axel. So I drilled a dimple into the end of the axel and with a few turns my problem was solved! Amazing how the correct tool can make all the difference in the world. Great tool! Just hope I can find it in my nightmare of a garage the next time I need it.

I never got to actually use the thing yet. It seems well made and like it will work. The problem is that the bolts are not secured well so it will rattle apart inside your tool box especially if you keep your tools in your car/truck. Then you will have to go hunting for all the little pieces. Either put nylon lock nuts on it or use some locktite as soon as you get it. It should really come with nylocks.

Purchased to remove pulley from Craftsman table saw. Worked perfectly, pulley came off in seconds once I mounted the gear puller. Mounting it was as expected, some fiddling and adjusting needed, took no more than a minute to position and hand tighten. Easy to work with, quality tool. Exactly what I needed to get the job done.

Looks like a great gear puller, especially for the very economical price. I haven't actually used it yet as I was able to remove the bearing that I bought it to remove without the use of the tool. Still, I am glad to have it in my collection of tools. I'm sure I'll have a use for it sometime. It looks to be sturdy enough for all but the most heavy duty of jobs and can handle gears, pulleys, bearings, etc. up to 4 inches and then some. It also has reversible jaws for smaller stuff and you could also turn the jaws around to grip on the inside if you have to remove some kind of ring or bearing race, so very versatile.
