How to properly use the projector lamp to extend its lifetime
1.After replacing the lamp first time. Initialize the lamp usage time on the projector.
2.After using the projector, do not leave the lamp on for a long time, no more than 4 hours each use time.
3.Regularly clean the dust of the lamp. Prevent the projector automatically shutting down due to temperature rise to protect the lamp.

It actually worked. At least it is and has and (fingers crossed) will continue to do so. Hitachi X8160 replaced in seconds. Have watched for a couple weeks with only one minor ‘uh oh’ moment. During an intense graphic and color scene, the bulb began to darken. Only happened once. Skipped back and watched the scene again without issue.But if this lasts a year, absolutely worth it!
