Made my first cocktail that night. The wide mouth on the mixer made is easier to stir the ingredients and the height made sure the ingredients stayed in the glass. P. S. The spoons were no necessary but cool. Very pleased with my purchases.

These drink-mixing spoons are the kind of gear I appreciate using every time I pick one up. The stainless steel stem is rigid and sturdy enough on its own that it doesn't require any fussy twisting of the metal, like other designs. The spoons have a very satisfying heft to them, due to their solid construction, making them a pleasure to handle and manipulate. HIGHLY recommended, for those who appreciate solid, quality fabrication and the small satisfactions that arise from handling tools exquisitely suited to their intended use.

I purchased this set after previously purchasing the mixed set of spiral & smooth handle bar spoons from A Bar Above. I found the smooth handle bar spoon to be significantly better due to it being: a) heavier mass (i.e. more weight) which enables easier stirring as once the spoon is in motion one it requires less work due to it having more momentum; and b) it's significantly easier and more pleasant to guide due to the smoothness of the handle in one's hand ... Controlling the slip and twirl in one's fingers vs a spiral handle bar spoon (due to the spirals only providing a single option of slip & twirl by its very design) is much more convenient and pleasant.Stirring a cocktail in a mixing glass containing large ice for 20 or 30 or more seconds is significantly more pleasant with this spoon. I have a couple of other brands of swirl handles and plan to give away all my swirl handled bar spoons of this dimension. A friend sampled the difference and was instantly sold on these smooth handle bar spoons too. Beautiful craftsmanship and design ... have been using for a few months and expecting years of use

Great, heavy duty spoon for cocktails requiring stirring. It's heavy enough to get small or large amounts of ice moving fast. It helps a lot when the bar is slammed, cuts down on on time per drink. Got a couple of these spoons for my home bar and also use them for making ice tea, etc. in tall glasses. The spoon also has a very nice bowl, allowing for accurate small (2.5 mil) amounts of liquid ingredients (olive juice, etc. for dirty drinks) and for spooning out olives, cherries and other garnishes. Great sturdy design. Easy to clean. I liked the straights so much that I also got a set of the spiral Bar Above spoons.

Really great product from Topshelf. Bought for a left hand bartender who struggles with the direction of most bar spoon spirals, however also found these to be very very comfortable to stir with especially after already deep into a busy night. I will buy again for myself and would preference them for any future bar programs before other affordable spiral spoons

This is s very well made stainless steel bar spoon. The non-spoon end is weighed to break large chunks of ice onto smaller pieces which is a nice feature. The shaft does not have a spiral twist but it also makes them sturdier. It is still easy enough to spin the spoon if you prefer that type of mixing. They come two to a carton which is overkill for a home bar, and of course drives the cost up. I recommend them to anyone who is serious about mixology.
