The price is insane. About 30 bucks for a piece of plastic!!!There are only 2 brands that have such a design that you can measure the pads with 2 sides of the tool. Both of them are almost at the price and it's expensive.In my opinion if you check the Lasil brand, you'll see that's made with a higher quality.But generally, this tool is just for a simple measurement, so I don't care.I dropped the stars to 3 just because of the price.

This makes it easier to get the Brake Pads measurements with out having to remove the wheel. Perfect for hard to reach places compared to other measuring tools.

I do much of my own automotive maintenance. For projects where I have taken the vehicles to the dealer and they do their multi-point inspections, I had wondered how they tell how much disc brake pad remains other than their trained eye since access is limited.Bought this set to factually keep track myself. I like the design where the tip measures in two ways -- what I'll simply call with the probe vertical or horizontal depending on where you best get access to the pad.Inexpensive tool, but meaningful answer when to wait or invest in a brake job. I wish it came in a simple case. Ended up finding a tall pill bottle that works to protect them in the drawer with other tools.

Good product, tab on end allows easy check of brake pads with wheels on (most cars). Should have bought one sooner! Dropped a star due to plastic seems a bit flimsy and will wear easily but good cost.

I used to take the wheels off in order for me to check the brake pads thickness. That was a lot of work and i hated it.I saw this gauge set on amazon and deiced to give it a try. It works amazing and makes checking the brake pads thickness a breeze. I highly recommend buying it!

Plastic is quite flimsy for the gauges but hasn't broken yet. Seems to be holding up pretty good. Overall good .
