At $24.99 review time this is life changing kit for anyone who works on there own cars. Do not get me wrong these are not high dollar tools but they are tools made for the job. For the first time using hose clamp pliers instead of needle nose or regular pliers was life changing. I guess my whole point is now for skipping one trip to McDonalds you can get a complete Hose Clamp Pliers Set. 5 out of 5 stars..... They are cheap, they work, and come in a case. God Bless, Richard W.

I never leave reviews, but I had to let you all know about this product. Working on a 2015 VW heater core hoses where two hoses come off the plastic quick connect portion (dumbest design ever as VW knows the plastic quick connects break and leak... leaving you stranded and they continue to make them...shame on VW). One of the hoses I could barely get my slip joint pliers in there and clamped on the oem hose clamp a couple of times until I accidentally had the two metal pieces you clamp on rotate to an area my pliers could not get on after the pliers slipped off. I overnighted this plier set last night and I got both the clamp off and slid back and then used the horse angled hook to loosen the hose between the hose and metal tubing before sliding the hose right off. It took less than 15 minutes with both tools in this kit. The cable pliers I was shocked when it clamped the OEM hose Clamps the first time and slide right off. It was a good day to say the least. The day before I spent 2 hours and could not get the hose Clamp off. Yesterday ended with the hose Clamp rotating after the pliers slipped off and thus changing to an angle my pliers couldn't reach. I will never use regular pliers replacing auto coolant/heater hoses again especially in tight spaces the cable hose clamp pliers are my new go to tool. Don't hesitate if you know you have hose clamps that are not easy to get to with your pliers.

This is an excellent set of hose pliers. There seem to be very well built and there's not a lot of play between the two handles... at the same time they're not overly tight and hard to squeeze. For what these are built for, you can't beat the functionality. The reason I gave it four stars is because there is a piece of one of them that was loose in the case (as you can see in the photo I included) and I cannot figure out where it goes... Perhaps it's just an extra part from something else that ended up in the box, but I'm really not sure.

Overall these work pretty well. I like that there’s multiple options between the various tools, they all have a decent locking mechanism, a nice grip, and overall aren’t bad for the listed price. These are pretty versatile given there’s multiple different ones in a single set. My only real complaint is it would be nice if there was a user manual included to aid in showing how to use them or for differentiating which one works best for what tasks. As a diesel tech I know which ones are what except for one I haven’t figured out yet, which is why I say a basic manual being included might help others that may not know which pliers is for what. I love the case though for keeping track of them and more portability! I’ll update my review later with pictures/video and on how well they hold up to future use.

I recently got this hose clamp pliers set and its been great so far. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the tools in this set at this price point. They are not high end precision tools but they are perfect for the home mechanic or light duty use. I did have to use a little 3 in one oil on a few to get them working good. After that, they worked smoothly. The set is pretty big and comes in a pretty nice blow molded case. A lot better than throwing them in a tool box to get damaged. Over all I highly recommend this set if you use these type hose clamps. It makes the job so much easier.

Overall, the tools were good quality. The case was pretty cheap and does not hold the tools in very well. I would still buy it again if needed.

Having worked on vehicles for over 30 years without a dedicated pliers set for clamping hoses, I brought in this set mostly as a curiosity. That said, I like the idea of some of these tools, and while all of them can work, they do show manufacturing inconsistency. For example, the ends on tool C don't line up and one of the "spinning" working ends needed to be freed up with the pliers to get it to spin so it can be used with a wire-style hose clamp. Moreover, while the self-opening spring worked, the pin on tool F prevented the tool from springing open. That said the case features the better two-piece latches and the tools didn't require Herculean force to get pressed in or out of their proper places in the case. I can see that this set could be better if it was manufactured with a higher degree of consistency.
