I had high hopes for this as I go camping alot and wanted some extra privacy at night while sleeping in my car. First of all the hook that is attached to the string got stuck in the top of my window frame. I had to wiggle it out so it didn't rip the rubber seam. That was a disappointment. Second, when I pulled ithe string, it didn't even go across my side windows. Third, the main curtain in the front didn't work as when you tighten the one side, the other side fell off the window. As you can see by the pictures it just didn't work out for me.

We used these for car camping in our Subaru Outback. We used them on the very back hatch window and the two smaller back side windows. So they weren't made to be used there, but we got some heavy duty fabric tape that comes off really easy to put them up instead of the hooks it came with. They worked great for those windows, almost totally blocked out all the light.

This three-piece car curtain set is marketed for helping you get some privacy for those occasions where you find yourself having to bed down in the car. And there's little doubt this curtain set will do that quite well. The curtain set is nicely-sized, easy to hang, plenty dark, and- most importantly, not see-through. But I picked this set up, to give my kids some privacy to change in and out of their swimsuits, when go to and coming from swim practice. They work fantastic! To hang them, you simply use the built-in hooks to slip into the plastic trim pieces at the roof line of your car, and then simply slide the curtains along the sting lines, to open and close them. Simple, but effective. The long curtain covers a back window (or front), or the line between the front and back seats. The short curtains cover the right and left side windows- front seat, or back- but not both. I use this curtain set for the back seat of my SUV, using my SUV's windshield sun shade to cover the back window when my kids change. Total privacy. I love it. My kids love it. I'm happy.

I ordered these curtains in hopes that I could use it in my converted SUV camper to divide the front seats from the back. They didn't work for my needs. However, the material is nice and thick and it is well sewn. The stitches are nice and tight. I have a CRV and the front curtains just barely fit. Location of the attachment near the headliner leaves a very large gap which allows a lot of light in. While they may block light where they are hung, once hung you still have light coming all around the top and sides. I can see these working while traveling to block light from children in the back seat and to have privacy while resting. But for my needs they did not work. I needed something that fully blocked ALL light.

Honestly, im dissapointed in this product.It does a poor job of actually blocking out light since there are so many areas around the curtain to bleed in. Its really tough to block the top, since its just a string being held by your door pillars.Does not block rear windows, whats the point?

And I’m not complaining! I prefer to sleep in almost total darkness. Not a fan of clock lights, tv lights, hallway lights, and certainly not sunlight. Being able to take the darkness with me while camping in my van is wonderful! It’s also added to the privacy factor because no one can see in either. Really great van camping curtains and I definitely recommend them.
