I regularly use NUNC brand Deepwell Plates. Sometimes I want to save the contents for later analysis and having a silicon mat to seal the plate is handy to not only prevent evaporation (for a short time), but also to prevent contamination, unlike the sticky films that are available. These silicone mats fit my NUNC plates perfectly, and the fact that the wells are pre-slit allows for use on an auto sampler for LCMS analysis. (Full disclosure, I have not tested on my autosampler yet). Since these types of mats tend to be ridiculously overpriced in the scientific supply chain, it's nice to have a functional and affordable alternative.
