I'm sick of skinny candles! These are just what I was searching for, having bases that are thick-enough to securely fit in my candlestick holders without adding wax or waxy substance to get them to stay upright. I haven't used them long-enough yet to know how long they'll last, but I'm certain it will be at least average, if not longer. The candles were also very well packaged for protection when shipped. I'll definitely buy them again.

Burned well - not totally dripless - but would definitely buy again.Note that the diameter is 7/8" and all of my other tapers are 3/4", making these just big enough to not fit in my taper holders! Don't be like me and then have to buy new holders - pay attention to the size before ordering!

SOME DETAILS ON MY ORDER ARRIVAL- Well these candles, "96NORTH 12 inch Taper Candles Set of 6, 7/8 inch Base Diameter", are probably the best looking candles that I have seen in a while. They are unusually tall at 12 inches tall, where most are 8-10 inches. They are also thicker, with a diameter of 1 inch throughout, until the last inch at the base, where the diameter size narrows down to 7/8" of an inch for insertion into a candlestick. Even if you don't light them, they look great.UPON CLOSER INSPECTION: They came to me very well packaged in a colorful manufacturer’s box, with the candles individually protected within a foam setting within the box. Upon inspection, the candles were undamaged and have a consistent color (Christmas Red) throughout. All the candles were also straight and not at all warped. They are not scented and dripless per the manufacturer and are made with premium soy wax and cotton wicks. Note: It helps to have a candle burn dripless by having it stand exactly straight up in the candle holder and not have a warped candle. Since these candles are not warped or curved unnaturally, I would think that if they are mounted correctly, that they stand a better chance to be dripless in nature during the burn.MORE OUT OF THE BOX: For a test burn of the product, I set the candle within a smaller solo candle stick holder, clipped the wick a little smaller. NOTE: I did have to trim the base wax of the candle to help the fit, only because the holder is not an optimal size for this candle size.After lighting the candle, there were no noticeable scents or smoke released from the candle. After an hour of burning time, (see photo) the candle is still burning true, without dripping. I believe this candle is a higher quality candle if looking for a larger candle. It is one of the better candles that I have seen. These candles are beautiful. They are packaged very well—each stick is laid inside of foam. They fit inside my 7/8” standard candlestick. The bottom of these candles are tapered to fit perfectly. I pushed it into my candle holder and it fit nice and tight with no wobble. The first candle I burned, I made a log of the times because it goes for more than a day. The first was exactly 18 hours and 45 minutes. (I am starting to burn the second candle this evening to look for consistency and see if the time will be the same. I will update if there are any changes.) I made sure it was in a wind free room. However, there were a couple times when my heater kicked on and the small breeze cause the candle to drip down the side a bit, but that is no fault to the candle itself. There is something I need to say about candles and the way we test them for reviews. I see several people giving a bad review and post a candle is NOT dripless, however, I can clearly see in the picture, their flame is not straight up. It’s sideways or moving. This tells me that there might be a slight wind in the room. Whether it be an overhead fan, or a heater vent, or an open window or door, this can affect how the flame of a candle burns. If it moves back-and-forth, it will burn the top edges of the candle wax causing a small divot, and the wax will drip. Even the slightest amount of wind can cause the flame to bounce around, which will make a candle have beads or drips down the side. I would say these are definitely dripless if you keep them in a room with little to no wind. These also burn cleanly with no smell. They are quite a bit thicker than regular taper candles, so they aren’t as dainty or “feminine” looking, but they are perfect to put inside of a candle stick holder and the burn time is impressive. The flame is a nice size and puts out quite a bit of light. I have enjoyed having these burn for such a long time, and though this was for a Vine review, I will definitely be purchasing some for the future. This would make a great addition to any party. The price for these may be more expensive than smaller taper candles, but these burn 2 - 3 times longer so you get your money’s worth. 👏👏Update: 2nd candle burned 18 hrs 15 min.
