Wood on the newel is excellent. It is heavier, studier, and more important the structure itself is better than any store I checked. As important to me, the wood is smooth and even throughout. The design is modern as I didn't want the same old spindle I had before.

Great pricing. Beautiful style & quality. Shipped larger size than ordered. Contractor made it “work” but looks stupid to me & cost me additional $$$.Sure no one else will notice however, I replaced for same reason.

Excellent newel post! We renovated our stairs ourselves taking off carpet and installing hardwood treads and iron balusters. Stairs the post and the tread gray and left the rest tan. Love the look!
