It's a corner clamp, I have a bunch, so what's new about this one? The quick release, it's really, really handy. As much as possible these days I'm trying to use all quick release clamps as they are just so much more convenient to operate vs screwing and unscrewing the old style for days (ok, seconds, but I'm impatient). I have a few other quick release clamps but this is my first quick release corner clamp and it's now my go to corner clamp. Otherwise quality and strength are good, but it's hard for me not to gush over the quick release since it's the first time I have it on one of my corner clamps.

I found this to be super helpful in lining up 3/4" ply corner joints before pre-drilling the screw holes. It's like an extra set of hands and makes it easy to get everything just where you want it. I do wish the jaw height was a little taller, as pieces can still twist a bit in the clamps, but overall it has been a welcome addition to the shop. This review was for "90-Degree Angle Clamp - Home Improvement Corner Clamp for Wood, Metal Tubes & Glass - Adjustable Hand Tool - Aluminum Alloy Die-Cast"

The BUILDSOMETHING 90-Degree Angle Secure Clamp for Wood is solid and well built. It has comfortable handles to tighten each side and the solid metal is heavy duty and will hold up to anything you throw at it. The quick release by each screw is very handy and a fantastic option and makes releasing the clamp easier than unscrewing it. Lastly the finish on it is excellent and has what appears to be a corrosion proof textured finish.

I recently used the BUILDSOMETHING 90-Degree Angle Clamp for a home improvement project, and I’m really impressed with its performance. I have a couple other 90-degree angle clamps, but they’re small and I needed something that can handle 2x4s. This one is perfect for that. It’s large enough for that size, or even bigger boards, and yet it’s not very heavy. The screwing mechanism is easy to operate, and they are strong enough to hold the boards in place. If needed, you can bolt it into a workshop table using the holes provided. If bolted down, you could even use it as a vise clamp if you wish, but it’s perfect for 90-degree angles.

I have been using 90 degree clamps for years, and while they all work, I can't say I really like one until I got this one!For starters, my existing clamps are unfinished cast aluminum that is starting to discolor, but this clamp has an attractive corrosion proof textured finish. And one of the things I really hate about using a screw type of clamp is the endless twisting of the handle to resize or tighten the clamp, but that is not the case with this clamp. All you need to do with this clamp is press the quick release, slide the screw pad up to the material, add a brief twist to tighten it and you're ready to install your fasteners. To release it doesn't take 4 or 5 twists, just press the quick release and you're quickly on to your next joint. No muss, no fuss. And finally, the rubberize handles are much more comfortable than the hard plastic handles on my other clamps. This clamp is far superior to those clamps, for the same price. You can't go wrong with this clamp, and you will regret buying one of the "other" clamps. After owning those for decades, I wish I had more of these!

I got this to help with a custom picture frame I was building. Since there were no dimensions listed, I didn’t know how wide it would open when ordering. Unfortunately, it didn’t open wide enough to fit my frame so I could not use it for my project. I measured the max opening at 2.61 inches, which means for it to work, the width of the wood needs to be smaller than that. The height of the clamp jaw measures 2.79 inches, but of course that matters less since you can fit larger and smaller wood in that direction. The jaws are unpadded. They are not made of rubber or other material that might help prevent damage to your wood. Instead, they are metal like the rest of the clamp. So, you'll need to exercise caution when tightening. That said, the clamp overall works well. It’s solidly made and easy to operate. I particularly like that there’s a release button that slides the clamp into place before tightening. This saves time from having to twist the screwing mechanism all the way. I find that this can be a helpful tool so long as the wood you are using fits the opening.
