The red amp clamp wire is soldiered to the relay pins instead of the switch. The red amp clamp always completes the circuit making the switch always on. I cut the amp clamp wire and added a male and female weatherpack connector so it would function. I cant get in there to the switch to soldier the red wire to the switch correctly. If they correct this problem it would be a very useful product. Not all pins were in the 87,30 places. I’m pretty sure this would fry your ECM unless you know what you are doing and fix.

The relay/switches came in plain packaging. They are light weight so no special packaging beyond individual little baggies. A storage case would be a huge plus for the manufacturer to add, along with strain relief described below.The primary use for the tool is a switch replacement for a relay to diagnose and prove out relay problems. The extra feature is the indictive current loop you can use with your clamp meter. Allows you to see if the circuit is drawing too much current, as a reason for relay failure or to show component failure by excessive current draw, like a fuel pump.My only gripe is the loop wire does not have any strain relief. The wires just go through a hole in the relay case with no support. This will likely be an early failure point. The manufacturer warns you in the description to not use the wire as a pull loop for removing the units from the fuse box. I am going to try some hot glue to sure up and add some strain relief to my set.

You may not use these often but they have definite value in terms of both simplicity and function. A big plus is that by utilizing them you don't run the risk of damaging connector terminals by probing them for measurements. Very handy tool!
