These have a nice sharp edge on the threads that bite into the wood well. The washers will prevent damage to the wood from the edges of the head scraping on the wood (since the edges will slide on the washer). The bottom of the head does not have a curved bottom like the top, which could scrape away the wood since it has slightly sharper edges. The top is curved at the outer edges so it does not create hazardous edges for anything/anyone that may pass by and inadvertently scrape against the bolt - in other words, it is safe. Personally, I would rather have the bottom edges with a very slight curve so it is not as sharp yet does not decrease the area the bolt contacts the bottom surface. None the less, I love the threads on these bolts! Although there are some bolts with deeper threads that may penetrate into the wood more, these are less likely to rip the wood as it spins inside the hole. The key to having a good and reliable fastening is to drill the hole with an appropriate size. That will depend on the hardness of the wood and how much it is able to be compressed as the bolt's diameter increases when inserted. The softer the wood, the smaller the hole, the harder the wood, the larger the hole. Personally, I think these are best suited for harder wood since the threads are nice and sharp and will not dig exceptionally deep into the wood.

Worked well, I used it to mount old fence posts to an old countertop to use as a work bench in my shed. The threading was good enough to drive itself, although I did drive a pilot hole to minimize splitting. The included bit works exactly as it should and even held up to some light impact gun use. NOT RATED FOR IMPACT USE, and isn't advertised as such either. Use with an impact at your own risk. The included washers fit the bolts too, so overall I don't have a single complaint. Good product.

I had some free-standing cabinets in my basement there were getting a little top heavy and I was afraid they would eventually tip over. So, I had to empty them all and move them to a wall with studs so I could lag them to the wall so they wouldn't fall over. These Eastpuk lag screws are easy to install into an interior wood 2x4. The black oxide coating allows them to thread into the wood easily. The include washers are nice so the head of the screw doesn't damage the surface beneath it. Overall, I'm very happy with these lag screws and highly recommend them to anyone installing cabinets, deck rails, deck supports or any other need for a heavy-duty law screws.

I really like these. They’re of course very sturdy but I like that they’re black because the project I ordered them for will be painted black and they’ll look really nice once I’m finished building. At $1.87 a piece they’re right in line with hardware store pricing and conveniently delivered to my door. I’m a stay at home mom with a 2 & 4 year old and the hardware store can be tricky with them sometimes, so I appreciate these were an option through Amazon.

I typically buy lag bolts at the big box store. I usually swear about how much they cost, so imagine my surprise to find a pack of 10 for around $15 - that's good value. Throw in the matching washers and the magnetic hex bit (which is really nice by the way) and you've good a great deal. I got the 3/8" x 3" set to bolt a big TV mount to the wall. It comes in a nice plastic container that keeps everything together. When it came to driving these things into the wall studs, they went in nicely and they feel very strong. I have no problem hanging my new OLED TV up on them.

Wiki says 304 stainless is NOT magnetic, but these are magnetic - the magnet in the included driver does definitely grab them. They seem well made. The finish is applied evenly, but is it decorative or functional? Good stainless shouldn’t need a finish, but it can’t hurt. Certainly fine for inside use in a cold damp garage and maybe for outside use too. Let its price be your guide when comparing to name brand lags.

Got these for some backyard projects coming up soon in the spring. I like that this set comes with washers and a nut driver, so I don't have to find one. The screws seem very sturdy. They come in a nice storage case that will be useful for other things once I've used them all up.Overall, I am happy with this selection.
