The hinge looks and works really good, but it usually ends up getting worn quick and then breaking. But they work great on something you aren't using constantly.

Easier to use than other hangers I've used. They work well and are reasonably priced.

Didn't like them too weak and more work that it's worth. Looks cool at first but breaks easy. The screws are pointless, just use glue. Three Broke easily, if your only make on of two gift than ok but other than that not worth the time and effort.

This product does NOT have internal screws that expand the barrel. Rather each comes with 2 screws per side that you put on either side of the barrel, wedging it into place. Screws are exposed, it's not great, but it works. I only used one screw per side not two. For the 8mm version drill your hole with a 21/64" bit (8.3mm). It shouldn't be more than 1.5mm from the edge of your workpiece. As you turn the screws in it will move a little, just make sure it's square before you fully tighten. I recommend a tiiiiny pilot hole next to the barrel to get that screw started. Go slow, don't twist the screw head off, it will happen if you're not careful. If too tight try a deeper pilot next to the barrel. Also try not to drill the 8.3mm hole too deep, it makes life easier if it's perfect depth. It should be flush with the surface of your workpiece. USE A DRILL PRESS if available, use a marking gauge if possible, use an awl or punch to start that hole in the PERFECT location. Make sure that hole is PERFECT.These aren't terrible, but a little difficult to install. Strength seems pretty good.

Knowing the size is important, don’t recess these too much or your lid won’t close properly, beautiful if installed correctly.
