I ordered this $14 set of eight 8-inch diameter blue-hued Yorr jellyfish paper lanterns (Amazon ASIN B0CKHD2Y8H) for a mermaid-themed toddler party, and the kids loved swimming around in the living room among the jellies. We added bubble machines and ocean sounds for kids (such as "Baby shark, doodoo doo doo doodoo, Mommy shark...").These eight jellyfish lanterns were surprisingly easy to set up, albeit I didn't have the right kind of stepladder to hang them from the center of the living room so I had to put them closer to the walls. They popped into shape relatively quickly, although I ripped the first one just trying to figure out how they were squished into the packing configuration. Once set up, and when the kids arrived, instantly all the accompanying parents of the toddlers commented on the ocean-themed color palette, which included deep blue, sky blue, light blue, and white (for the clouds, I guess). What the kids found most interesting seemed to be the iridescent streamers which, to them, mimicked jellyfish tentacles - where one troublemaker called them "man-o'-war" jellies, making the girls run around screaming and thrashing at them, giggling and having fun among the bubbles we had the bubble machine blow into the air all around them. After the party, I was able to collapse most of the undamaged lanterns for a later day, and I was even able to save some of the hooks and string, so that next time I'll barely squeak by.Since these are delicate after all, there were tentacles scattered about the house which I was able to sweep and vacuum up for the most part. The hardest part was taking the hooks off the ceiling and wall without damaging the paint but I was able to put most of them on the wallpaper, where it was much easier to remove them.Overall, these are a good choice for any mermaid-themed ocean party, where I hope your kids and their friends have as much fun "swimming with the jellies" as mine did.

Upon unpacking, your first thought is why won't this open all the way. The papers are wrinkled - naturally, so you may worry that it won't look good. 1. BE CAREFUL opening this and shaking out the tendrils. Just take your time and it'll come apart the way you want it to. 2. This is way more intuitive and easy to put together. It does come with instructions, but you're just placing a tension rod on the inside of these and POOF...they're little jelly fish with a fixed shape. Once they're set, they're about as tall as a 1 year old child. I would get 2 packs for a full look around your kitchen and dining room (For that under the sea vibe).

These jellyfish paper lanterns are perfect for an ocean themed party. They were easy to set up and use, which is extremely important for parties because you don't have enough time as it is. I love how cute they are! Even better, they can be reused for other themed parties as well.

I got these jellyfish paper lanterns for my toddler's pirate and ocean-themed birthday party and they are going to be perfect. They were really easy to pop up and the paper held up well, it didn't tear or have any issues. The colors are nice and vibrant and the streamers that hang down are perfect, it gives a great illusion of jellyfish and under the sea. They were perfect for the party and I was even able to take them down carefully so that I could reuse them in the future. Super happy with how functional they were!

These "jellyfish" are essentially hanging paper lanterns with tentacles/streamers at the bottom. They look exactly as pictured and it only takes a few seconds to 'assemble' each one. We're using these as decorations for a birthday party and it's going to look great with all 8 of them up!The set I got (blue) was $14 for 8 and they seem well worth that price.

We got these to use for a children's themed under-the-sea costume. Each item came perfectly packaged so that the paper texture wasn't ripped and was easy to assemble. Careful when popping the orbs out since you can easily rip the paper if you're not careful.

They are still outside my porch. Even after the heavy rain we had in California. Very good quality.
