If you’ve done these before, or knowledgeable to try, this tool is worth the cost. Makes removable possible in a ‘home’ environment, and at a marginal expense versus a dealership or garage.

Used this for a 2009 Subaru Forester and it's infamous rear wheel bearing in the salt belt.Out the box none of the nuts fit so I used the lug nuts with a washer. After 1 hit nothing budged and the lug nuts suddenly has a large clearance. I took off the lug nut to try to tighten it but the threads were already stripped.I switched to 2 new lug nuts and 2 other bolts and just kept hammering. After 5 or 6 hits there was no movement and I felt so defeated, then on the last hit the whole thing separated! So lesson learned:1. Get the correct size nuts so you don't have to sacrifice your lug nuts.2. If the tool gets loose but the nut is still secured, don't stop.3. Use a jack to support the underside of the knuckle. This thing is a life saver.

The tool itself seems ok. The hardware is made of soft metal and bent while striking with a sledgehammer. I recommend grade 8 bolts and washers. Maybe then my bearing would have come off and not apart.

This product works very well on small cars and suvs but it will not work that good on big pick up wheel hubs because they are deeper dish and will warp the dish frame. It will help create a small gap and you can chizle out the wheel hub after that. I kove this product and its amazing on small cars and suvs. Its made of thick strong steel it did not bend or warp its heavy and you can feel the quality instantly. The packaging was terrible and the seller can do a better job in packaging. Box arrived at my house very beat up and the product scratched up. But i do recommend this product 100 percent.

Ive been hitting the rusted wheel hub with a 10lbs sledge hammer for two days to the point of deforming it completely but it still didn't move. With this tool, two whacks, It's off. Buy it, save your time.

First off this is a completely legitimate review and I'm writing it because of my utter disbelief. For background I own a 2012 Ram 1500, which currently and always has, resided in upstate NY. About 5 years ago I had to change the passenger side wheel hub assembly and that took two miserable days of banging with a sledge, using the power steering as a hydraulic press, endless pulls on a slide hammer, and hours of cold chiseling. So naturally when the driver's side started making noise I was in a constant state of dread because I knew what the repair would entail. I came across this tool in a YouTube video and figured I'd add it to the arsenal but I fully expected it to be useless and something I had to return. The day of arrives and it just so happens to be one of the few 90 degree days we get here in NY so naturally I set up an overhead tent in the driveway. I figured if I was going to be hammering away all day then I mind as well be in the shade. Getting the bolts out of the hub was a workout, which only worried me further. When it was time to detach the hub I soaked it in acetone/atf combo and went to town with the air hammer. 10 minutes pass and the hub hasn't moved at all, the hammer just caused rust to fall from other areas of the suspension. I then started hammering from the back with a mini sledge to no avail. I then decided to try this tool because a few inaccurate swings bent the dust shield. I read the reviews in advanced and because of the complaints about the included bolts I ordered extra lug nuts, which actually weren't useful at all because they didn't fit. I attached this to the hub using two of my lug nuts as I was prepared to replace them as long as the hub came off. Six hits with my mini sledge and I couldn't believe my eyes. There was separation!!!!! Two more hits and the hub completely detached as you see in the picture. I stood there for a moment in utter disbelief, a job that had previously taken two days was now going to be completed in two hours. I had cleared my entire agenda for the day in preparation and now I'd be done with plenty of time to spare. I will certainly be keeping this lifesaver for future use, if it works on a truck with an aluminum knuckle in the rust belt it has to be effective almost everywhere. Five stars, worth every penny.

Subaru wheel bearings are notoriously difficult to remove. The last time I changed one, I tried all the tools recommended by the youtubers but none made it budge at all. I had to remove the entire knuckle and press out the bearing on my shop press. It all took much longer than replacing four mounting bolts should ever have taken.I used some nuts from my garage to mount this to my hub since review indicate the included hardware is not the greatest. I supported the tool with a bungee cord so the mess didn't fall on my toes when it came loose. Hitting lightly didn't seem to make any progress (not surprising) so I took a few full swings with a small 4 pound hammer. The bearing came loose in a few hits.I liberally applied anti-seize to the replacement bearing in case I have to do this again. I still have to change my rear bearings, but this tool has already saved me enough time to justify the price. I will update the review if it fails on those.
