The square seems adequate, but how do you include a “long nib” marker that doesn’t fit in the holes of the square you include it with? Also, as others have mentioned, you can’t use the square with the pin stored as it’s in the way.

The relative size of the hand compared to the item is very out of whack by a factor of 3 or 4 times.

Easy to use, accurate, angles are a breeze. Quality is great and it’s durable. Squares to 90 degrees.

It's a great value and will work great in my shop. Knocked off one star for the angle pin. It is threaded so you won't lose it, but it is in the way when you want to mark. I have a similar one that is smaller and threaded, but the pin screws into a side rail where it does not have to be moved unless you want to use it for it's intended use.

I purchased this item because I wanted a large speedsquare as it was shown in the ad. What I got was just a regular size I could have purchase from anywhere. Quite disappointed 😞

I thought this might be a handy tool to have. After having it in the shop for a few months, I find myself using it much more than I expected. I mostly use it as a square to mark 90 degree angles on the face of small boards. However, it's also very handy for transferring marks to the sides of boards and for marking 45 degree angles. The markings on the sides of the square are also convenient for measuring short distances. The tool is lightweight aluminum with an anodized finish. The only obvious downside to the tool is that it doesn't fit into tool belts or tool boxes very well due to one leg sticking out at 90 degrees.

I really am totally impressed with the overall quality of the materials, finish and build of this carpenter's square. It's outstanding. The etching is deep, and unlike others (printed on the surface) these calibrations will last. The one caveat I have has to do with the "angle pin". It screws into the inside of the square for storage, and that's great. However, it has to be removed to use the square, and that's a problem. That's the point where the pin will be lost.If they had threaded it on the outside of the square it would have been better (in my opinion), and would be far less likely to be misplaced. It would have seemed a bit awkward at first (with it mounted outwardly), but in time it would be no problem, at all. And, you would still have that pin.Great set, and certainly well worth the price. If you don't have one of these, treat yourself.Oh, and the hex key they supply is crap. You can toss that, as well.
