a very specific not common tap size that doesn't come in most kits and I needed it for a project that had to get done before hunting season started. it didn't break off and I even used the drill method of turn the drill on slow and start it to get some good straight starter threads in the drill press and it didn't break. finished all the holes off with the tap wrench after starting them with the drill press. so overall they cut very nice threads and threaded very smoothly and didn't have any problems with screw fitment or anything.

Only needed it for one relatively minor fix. Had to clean up the threads on a moderately cross threaded hole. They’re great for the price. You could definitely buy better; but these are good for occasional use.

bought this knowing it would not be the best quality, but only needed to tap a couple (4) of holes for a scope mount. was extremely careful and tapped the first one very slowly - as these do not cut well at all. have to make minute cuts and back up each time add tapping fluid an repeat. really started to drag a bit on the second hole so i changed to the bottoming tap to finish that hole. just started the 3rd hole and SNAP, the tap broke with almost no torque on it at all. broke below the hole so now have to figure out how to drill out the tap to continue!!!! decide to be really careful in an attempt to finish the last hole with the 2 remaining taps. put the last unused tap to use and made about 4-5 turns and SNAP, it broke as well. luckily there was a shard of metal above the hole I could get a punch on and use a hammer to drive the tap back out. that is how little force it took to break these cheap pieces of CRAP!!!!! it was only in a few turns and i could tap it out with a pin punch and a brass hammer!!!!!!! i knew btter than to buy this CRAP but was wanting to get this done and the good quality taps i ordered wont be in until sept. probably about the time I get that piece of CRAP drilled out that broke. DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF!!!!!!

Bottom tap cut more like a plug. Had to regrind to get viable threads close to the bottom of the hole.

Purchased an ATI Halo Side Saddle and the Maverick 88 does not come pre drilled. So I needed the right sized drill bit to make it work and it did.

you ever extract a scope base where the previous owner has used red Loctite on the scope base bolts? well, things happen. it requires a propane torch, a broken bolt extractor kit, and patience. its a tap set, not much else to say other than they work. God bless America.
