10/11/2024 - I purchased this under the impression that it was a portable AC and the listed spec description saying 699 watts thinking it will be energy efficient. Unfortunately after plugging in and running some tests, I see that when the compressor kicks in, the power consumption jump from the low 700W to 1,700W. My plan was to use this in a room that already has several other equipments running as well, on the same breaker.At 1,700W, that is literally needing its own dedicated AC breaker, that's very well near the 80% of a 20A breaker rule... and won't work for my needs.
