I just returned after surf fishing with this reel every day during a month long trip to Mexico.The reel handled itself well and was quite smooth for about 2 weeks. I caught many fish with it and made sure to wash it down after each use with clean fresh water. Around the 3rd week, the reel started to show signs of struggle and I figured that next year, I would also need to bring down oils and lubes to keep it running smoothly.However, yesterday I returned home and couldn't get it to spin at all because the reel is completely done and seized up. The handle can't be removed whatsoever, even when trying to force it out with heavy tools and a hammer, and every single internal component (upon taking it apart) is heavily rusted and corroded beyond repair. I began the process of cleaning it (as I know how) but after 2 hours in and the deeper I got, the more I concluded that it's not worth any further effort.In conclusion, if you need something for a quick week or two long fishing trip, then this reel will do the trick and consider it a disposable item. If you are looking for something that will last you for quite some time, then this is absolute garbage. Unless you are using it only in fresh water. As a saltwater reel? This should never have been promoted as such.I will keep the spool with my expensive braid on it, but the minute I hit submit on this enty, this reel is hitting the trash.

In ever used it. It was a lot bigger than expected and too big for what I was using it for. I had to return it. I don't think it was packaged very well either.

Used a few times for deep sea rock fishing. Pretty smooth experience so far. Surprisingly good quality. Size isn't true to normal size reels. Overall great value for price.

I love this reel. Not only is it smooth to cast and hold lots of braided line, but it makes it easy to land the big ones

It is built well and casts well. My only complaint is that the stamped ring around the base of the spool has very sharp edges. Obviously stamped out and never put thru a deburing process

The product itself is well built. Smooth, reel has nice clic when you close it. But as you can see on the pictures, the spool has way to much space when it's fully extended. That creates an unforgiving trap.... A simple bad cast, a burst of wind or just a bad surprise if you're battling a fish and for a second you get a loose line, results are awful do to the fact that it's way to easy to get tangle... My first use, I got trap 2 times... Once I had to cut the line, bring manually my weight and my bait, than untangle my line in the spool... This is not my first rodeo. If you want to buy it, you will have to pay attention on every single thing that can potentially ruin your catch... Food for thought.

Smooth reel and very easy to cast. I am left handed so sometimes I have trouble finding a good reel. This one I really like. Very good made and a goof size. I currently have a shoulder injury and wax still able to cast fairly decent with this reel.
