This unit is well made and very sturdy. however you can hardly store anything inside because of the Lock. I is placed right into the center and so it gets in the way of everything .The top shelf should be installed closer to the lock so that when you place items on the shelf it does not get in the way of it being able to closed.A lower profile Lock would be more acceptable .

Using this safe for important papers, documents and handgun storage. Looks beautiful and I’ll conceal it eventually with a painting. Love that you can access it with either a code # or the keys provided. Very easy to install. My son had it completely installed in 15 minutes.

We really like this safe, it feels really sturdy and heavy duty. It’s a tiny bit wider than our studs were, so we had to shave a bit off them to get it to fit, but it’s a great size and fits a lot of things, so it was worth the effort.

I like it very much it is slick looking. I am glad I got the next size up because you would be surprised how fast you can fill it. It took some figuring on where to put it when some walls have 16" stud openings but not a good location. Then some walls are small and not with 16" stud openings or have electrical obstructions. It took a while when many were not as desired, but we found one that worked with a little improvising. The directions are helpful to a point not completely forthcoming but if you read it and read it again slowly you brain will figure it out, or perhaps I am too old to think so hard or comprehend. Like as referenced above I am very happy with my choice. Just to add, it was very well packed.

Though it is a fairly sturdy build. It is just 1/8” inch steel. There’s no type of burn/fire protection. My other fireproof safe has layers of Sheetrock which gives it its fire rating. I wouldn’t buy this as a fire proof safe. I added a fireproof bag. Easy installation.
