Won't create it's own start hole in 18ga sheet metal. The tip rounds into a ball point... A pilot hole is needed.

I purchased these to pair them with poly drywall anchors I purchased on Amazon. The poly anchors are;TOGGLER Toggle TB Residential Drywall Anchor, Polypropylene, Made in US, 3/8" to 1/2" Grip Range, For #6 to #14 Fastener Sizes (Pack of 100). They work perfectly together.

These screws worked well enough for hanging a fire extinguisher into a 2x4, but the thread is pretty fine and it takes quite a few turns to get the screws all the way home. Nice and robust stainless steel.
