It took me a little bit to set and figure out the tool. Now that I know how it works, it works flawlessly.

This is a nice beginner case to start with if you’re into home diy projects. I’m using it for some furniture hacks and it works great. It’s easy to operate. And it places the rivnuts properly and safely. It comes with various sizes so definitely a good start kit.

Nice looking and functioning product.Dont use it like a pop rivet gun.Squeeze the rivet nut in small incriments and dont try to over tightenor you will break the mandrel .I keep a specific size bolt and washer in my kit and use it to really squeeze the rivet nut tight.Should last a long time by doing it this way

Works perfectly and is effortless to install rivet nuts. The hardest part is unscrewing the tool once the rivet nut is set. They could make two improvements to this product. 1. Make the knob on the back larger diameter for something more to grip when removing the tool from the rivet nut. 2. make the tip longer and more pointed like a rivet set tool to allow rivet nuts to be set in tight areas. A nut cannot be set unless you have about 3/4" clearance around it so 1-1/2" clear.

While most of the newer style rivnut setter tools are used parallel to the insert nut, there are places where a right angle tool is necessary. This is a good tool for smaller inserts up to 1/4-20 when you have limited room and can use a right angle tool. It will set rivnuts best if you do not try to set them in one crimp stroke. This comes with 9 mandrel sets, including both 5mm and 10-32 which is redundant in almost all circumstances since 10-32 and 5mm x0.8mm are virtually alike (0.8mm = 31.75 TPI) But it is still nice to have what amounts to having a space mandrel and more inserts. Since I use 10-32 stainless steel screws most often, this is an advantage.I have been using rivnut setters for over 30 years. I was recently looking for the nose and mandrel sets for those earlier rivet gun looking types. (Harbor Freight still sells a few models, such as SKU 1210 or 94100) I couldn't find those mandrels easily anymore. So a few months ago, I bought a Doyle 10" parallel type, like the design of the head better than the earlier type of head. The Doyle uses the mandrels and heads like this vendor sells. This type of mandrel and nose piece is easier to change and adjust than the old type.So I followed up by buying this AIUITIO 8" Rivet Nut Tool for perpendicular installation and a longer RZX 16" RIVET NUT TOOL for more leverage when there is room to work. All those tools, and any others that come with the mandrel/nose piece in the little rectangular plastic boxes like these do will work. I did find differences in the quality of machining on the different tools, but all worked fine within the range of rivet nuts sizes they are supposed to install. The Doyle had the best machining of the business parts of the tool. This AIUITIO 8" tool was next best in this regard. The RZX 16 inch tool had rougher machining than the other two. This is only really noticeable in an important way when threading the mandrels into the head of the tool. However, all three tools are competent as long as you don't apply too much torque. Too much torque can break a mandrel on the smaller mandrels. It also just makes the job more difficult. DO not operate any of these tools with the handles open farther than is easily comfortable and crimp in two actions, adjusting the tool in between compressions. The mandrels that come with this kit are machined well and easy to install. Just don't count on the directions to be of any use. That goes for the other two crimp tools. The directions are written with the same poor translations as many Japanese products had back in the 1960's. The instructions say there is a step drill in the kit. The supplier dropped that from the kit some time ago, as others have pointed out. I don't recommend using a step drill to drill the holes in sheet metal as it is too easy to over-drill. Drill a hole to the measured size of the shank of the insert for best results. This toll comes with a fitted plastic case that holds eight mandrel sets in their boxes along with the crimper on one side. On the reverse, there is another set of bins for extra mandrels, the adjustment wrench, and fasteners. The one criticism I have is one I have read about other kits and sometimes the bulk inserts. The bags of inserts that come with the kit are not resealable. When you open them, you have loose inserts that you have to put in a bag or container. I will note that the bags of insert nuts in this kit are very well marked. As a comparison, the fasteners that came with the Doyle tool are also not resealable, but the 16 inch RZX tool came in small zip lock type bags.I have no idea of long term durability, but since the tool I have been using for over 30 years is still in good shape and is of lower strength of materials than this AIUITIO branded tool, I think it will last a long time. All in all, this is a good kit at a good price, but it is not the only good choice.

I needed three rivnuts to fix a glass "screen" door and this kit did the job nicely. I have never installed rivnuts before, so I can't compare it to anything else. I watched a video on youtube to confirm the correct way to attach the mandrels. The included instructions aren't bad, but I wanted to make sure. I like that the kit includes an assortment of rivnuts. I also installed one "in the air" just so I could see what was happening and how hard I had to squeeze to compress the rivnut. It actually takes a fair amount of strength. Can't comment on the sturdiness since I've only used it once, but it seems like it would last a while.

Very nice budget tool that get the job done. Nice size, well made and easy to use, It's got all the small sizes I needed. The hand tool size is a bit small for 1/4-20 riv nuts and requires lots of effort but I have a larger set for that size so that's OK for me. It's perfect for the smaller sizes lke 10-32 and M6.

I've used it for a bunch of 8-32, 10-32 and 1/4-20. It pulls much smoother than the straight handled cheaper models. and the bits change easier too. Bit sizes are clearly marked on each individual piece. The 2-sided case is weird and I always open the wrong side.

I like it and would buy it again. All in all good.PROS:-Placed and secured rivnuts in a controlled and secure manner.-The tool seems reasonably well made and should hold up for my DIY car hobbist uses. Not a Pro Quality tool but you're not paying pro prices and it's "good enough" for most I would say.-Nice case and a nice supply of Rivnuts to get you started,CONS: Not a deal breaker.-Very poor instructions. Only in english and the english is very poor. Read them more than once, check out the pictures, and do a couple of trials. The knob in back on top controls how far out the handles expand and how much pressure is exerted on the rivnut. If you are big and strong you can over compress. Better a little expansion and pressure then crank it and a little more til it's just right in the hole.-There is NO Drill Chart to spec the size hole to be drilled for a given rivnut size. Not like your drilling a hole for a 1/4" bolt. An #8 8x32 screw Rivnut has a shank of what size? They should give us a Drill Chart. You have to measure the shank and do a trial fit. Start tight.-The instructions say to use the "Step drill supplied..." to size the hole. There is NO Step Drill supplied. The add does not mention one so I guess they eliminated it at some point. Better to just use the right drill bit size anyway IMO.

Today, in a world inundated with poorly designed and cheaply manufactured goods, it’s a pleasure to buy and use a well designed and crafted tool that gets the job done…right, the first time. This particular RivNut installation kit is noteworthy for several reasons. First, it comes in a fitted storage box to keep things organized but easily accessed. Second, the box includes size specific mandrels & RivNuts, making selection organized and quick. Third, the included RivNuts are quality hardware capable of meeting the challenge.Bottom line: you get what you pay for and, in this instance, the installation tools and hardware are definitely worth the price. Bravo, well done!

I was impressed with the build quality and packaging when it arrived but when I used it it didnt work. The broken off rivet ends get jammed Inside instead of being released and falling out.
