I recently got these neon wires, and they worked beautifully for a diy project I had in mind. The illumination is bright, yet soft enough to create a cool ambiance without being overwhelming. I used this for a custom lighted dog harness. The EL wire was easy enough to route and cut to specific sizes, then sew with a simple whip stitch. I extended the power supply leads and attach to a leash via sewn on velcro. Worked great for me!

My use of this is as an alternative to glow sticks. It works rather well for that purpose. It's nice to have the battery power for illumination. The only negative I can express is the high pitched whine that comes from the power supply. I initially returned the first one because it was so loud. The second one still produced the same noise, but at a much reduced level. If your not in close proximity to the power supply, this should be okay.

Used this for a jellyfish Halloween costume. Used a few of the strings t hang down and the rest wrapped up and in the hat/body portion. Tons of compliments.

Our son wanted to be a stickman for Halloween so we bought a black jumpsuit and attached this EL light kit to it and it turned out great. Very flexible and easy to cut to the length we needed. He got a lot of compliments on his costume. Only down side was the controller had a high pitch hum when in use which was quite annoying.

Last night when I got it I put batteries in and it worked. Today, it doesn’t anymore no matter what I do and try. Anybody else had this issue? This sucks
